Right the fabbers I'm stuck in a rut music wise and would love some suggestions to check out some new music.
I love rock music predominantly and always end up back listening to grunge...now considering that era ended about 25 years ago there isn't a lot of new stuff around!
I'm pretty open minded and like good lyrics as much as a good tune, a good backstory to a song is a guilty pleasure (as well as a ballad after a few shandies...this peice of meat has a heart ).
So what's everyone listening to? No prejudice as we all have our own taste... |

"Try Fontaines D.C "
I'll make sure I do, any song you'd recommend to begin? If there's enough suggestions I'll make a Spotify playlist I think.
Thank you good sir. |

"Disturbed
Citizen Soldier
Sleaford Mobs (not rock but check out "jobseeker")"
Thanks for the recommendations, just listened to Jobseeker and really enjoyed it, sounds a lot like The Streets...lyrics are a funny/depressing social commentary!
Disturbed though...I think we may now be mortal enemies as I can't for the life of me get into them or enjoy them in any way |

Son saw Pretty Reckless in Bristol last year.
Ice Nine Kills have an album dedicated to horror movies if that's your thing.
Patent Pending are a fun band. Saw them live when they were last in the UK. |

"I can’t recommend Those Damn Crows any higher, fabulous band, great bunch of lads to talk to and probably the best British live rock act at the moment
And they’re from Bridgend!"
I was also going to suggest Those Damn Crows. Three brilliant albums and really good live.
Thunder are also really good but may not be heavy enough for you. |

I'd definitely recommend a band called Tropical Fuck Storm, silly name, very serious band. ausie new age psychedelic rock band I guess, hard to describe them really they're so unique. the front man, Gareth, isn't just an incredible musician, he's a crazy sound engineer too, seen them live a couple of times and it's crazy how he gets those sounds out of a guitar. |

Some local bands are world class, especially
Those Damn Crows
Florence Black
Love a bit of....
Linkin Park
System Of A Down
Blink 182
Less Than Jake
Cant beat a bit of Bob Marley and the Wailers, especially their earlier stuff.
Recently been realising how good Nickelback are and Creed. |
