Club Play: A Review.
Facilities - The moment you walk into Club Play you can see that a lot of time and care has been put into it's creation and maintenance. The social area is open and well decorated with plenty of seating, a dance floor with a small DJ booth, and a pool table, which is a great ice breaker. The lockers are plentiful, the toilets are clean and well maintained, and the various facilities and rooms are all built to a high standard. And there is something for almost everyone, no matter what your proclivities.
Staff - The people that work behind the reception desk and bar are amazingly friendly and welcoming. The first time you visit Club Play you get quite an extensive tour where they spell out all the various rules and offer any advice you may need about any aspect of the club. I have personally seen a number of them deal with things that most people would not know how to handle: The odd patron that you get in every hospitality business that spoils the day for everyone else, for example. If you have any questions, problems, or specific needs, they are more than happy, and more than competent, to deal with whatever you need.
Owners - Dawn and Paul are amazing hosts. They are not your typical business owner, as in they do not look at this as a way to make money before everything else. They are friendly, welcoming, and happy to mingle and chat with pretty much anyone and everyone that comes through their doors. It is nigh on impossible to fake the level of genuine sincerity they show towards all their customers, and many have become very good friends with them, precisely because they are genuinely friendly and accepting of everyone else.
Patrons - For the most part the patrons that frequent Club Play are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. There is that element that every business has, that tries to spoil it for everyone else, but the professionalism of the staff manages to nip any problems in the bud. If you want a good night of socialising, with like minded people, where everyone is accepted without prejudice, then the patrons of Club Play will be more than happy to welcome you with open arms and hearts.
Overall - If you want a night you will never forget, for all the right reasons, then Club Play is the place you will most likely find that kind of night. All in all I would give Club Play a 9.5 out of 10. with a margin of error of 0.5. |
