During lockdown i put on 2 stone in weight, i then lost 2 1/2 just over a year ago. Just weighed and ive put on 3 stone. So defo need to get on my weight lose programme. As long as i can lose 2 to 3lb each week i'll be happy.
If anyone feels they like to lose weight lets motivate and help each other out |

Measuring later today and I weigh on a Friday. I put on 2½lbs over Christmas.
When you measure what areas do you do?
I measure chest, waist, hips, arms, thighs, knees and calves. |

Very best of luck to you all.
I lost 5 stone a few years ago going from a size 22 to a 12/14 in 9 months. I have managed on the whole to keep it off, my diet fluctuates and I love a drink most days but I train relentlessy 5/6 days a week gym and running. All the best, consistency is key |

It isn't easy
I have to be very mindful of my carb intake
But the fear of going back to how I was keeps me going |

We all have the ability to lose weight its all about discipline and self belief , I've put on 2 stone since September and I feel terrible confidence goes can really mess with a person's head ,BUT I'm adiment this year to get back on track and it starts with small things like less food portions , more exercise and just cutting down on the crap ,,WE CAN ALL DO IT , just believe in your ability and stick to it! |

I (Rob) look back at photos of myself from before lockdown and cringe! I'm about 2st heavier and 4" bigger around the waist now. My current job isn't half as physically active as before, which hasn't helped. I'm going to the gym 4 times a week but it feels so much harder to shift the weight. |

I put a new battery in my scales yesterday and immediately regreted it ??
I am Dumping bread, rice, pizza, and alcohol and added sugar for a month to see what results happen. Might even dig the mountain bike out again. |

I've lost weight 3 times,
I've always gained due to ill health or just life monopolising my self care etc.
1st time 6st
2nd time 7st
3rd time 12 stone
It's all about self focus, inner strength and battling that inner twat that tries to make you weak. It's tough but the results are so rewarding.
Wishing you all a happy weight loss journey |

I've lost 6 stone in the last 9 months, hard work that got easier as time went on. Harder because I'm not meant to exercise (what... sex is exercise? Nah) I've put on 6kg over Christmas & all of a sudden I'm stuck & struggling to shift it.
Reading this thread has helped no end though, plus the motivation I got today, from you sexy MissP. All those little things are really quite big When you're struggling X |

I joined slimming world in March and have lost over 3 stone last year, I’ve gone from a size 22 to a 14 and was a type 2 diabetic on insulin, I’ve reversed this and am not taking anything for my now, I’ve also taken up kick-boxing to assist with my fitness. |

I've struggled a bit myself of late and I know how fucking hard it is especially when you feel you have fallen off the wagon a bit
I'm carrying a few unwelcome extra pounds from the festive period and I have trained twice today and eaten spotlessly so am now rewarding myself with a bottle of pinot grigio, fuck it |

I've been eyeing up a bottle of alcohol free Merlot, but if I'm going to fall right off the wagon I might as well fall hard & have the real stuff. Who the fuck bought me alcohol free anyway? |

Have had a similar experience, during lockdown, I set up my work station too close to the kitchen fridge. Over 12 months I’d ballooned by over three stone, spent the next year losing it, and have gained 2 stones over the intervening period. Seriously need to get back on the diet and shed a pound or two |

Good luck everyone I’m also guilty of putting on a few lbs in the last year so it’s back to the weights and running and yes I agree with one of the previous posters when they mentioned water.
If you can drink at least a ltr of water a day, obviously dependent on health issues don’t overload your fluid balance , then you do feel full for longer so don’t tend to eat / snack as much. I lost over 2 stone doing this |

Well done all, it’s so hard but keep at it and you can hit your goals.
I’ve always been up and down with weight, was 24st once and lost 8.5st but have since been up and down and sitting at about 18st now. I’m still fit and train constantly but it gets harder to shift it.
The key I found is to set yourself a scary target to keep you motivated, I’ve signed up to an Ironman this year so need to get my arse in gear to make sure I train now and hoping the weight will follow then. |

This thread has inspired me. My weight has been staying the same, I get weighed fairly regularly at the hospital. I need to lose more as I probably need surgery at same stage this year. I am over a stone down from when they started weighing me but now seem stuck.
Those of you that do slimming world, do you go to a class or follow it online? I’ve done WW before ages ago and lost 3 stone with them. Never tried SW.
Hope everyone is having a motivated week. It’s hard this time of year.

Something for the men - there's a weight loss group called Man v Fat, it's a football league for overweight men and you gain additional goals for your match with the weight you lose.
I know there's leagues in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bridgend and maybe even a couple more. I know people that have lost a tremendous amount of body fat and kept it off as part of that group. |

I can't emphasise enough how much weight training has done for me
For over 3 years I've gone to gym consistently but my issue is food.
My advice? Find what you enjoy and you'll stick to it... |

That's what I'm enjoying at the moment, I enjoying lifting for many reasons and just not having to worry about what and how much I'm eating has made me feel so much better in general |

"Well done to everyone losing the weight, I swear by intermittent fasting I use it to cut weight or add weight for my fights also boosts immune system
"
I know that's good for athletes but not sure it's sustainable or advisable for long term use. I did something similar years ago and ended up ill. |
