I enjoy watching it, it's incredible to see what the human body can do.

As much as I admire the competitors for their strength, hard work and dedication, I wouldn't swap with them for all the money in the world, what they do to their bodies through diet and 'stuff' is insane.

I bet they're a nightmare to order a Chinese with too, would cost you a bloody bomb.

Grew up watching them they're so much fun. Even competed in a few amateur events but nothing close to WSM level

They eat 15,000+ calories a day which sounds amazing but I'd be pooping like a play-doh factory

Strongman competitor here - and the vast majority of people in this sport genuinely want to see everyone do well. Most individual sports want their competition to fuck up to make their lives easier; strongman is a refreshing contrast to that. Even though I've been keeping up with it all year, I still enjoy watching the edited down versions over Christmas

They film it in June and is shown in December. Only Eddie Hall blabbed he won as he was retiring that year.

I remember the pre internet days of not finding out who won until new years day. Now I'm doing well if I can avoid the result until July!

I did too haha. It was seeing how much it meant to the brothers especially with their mam passing away. He promised her he would win and I was bawling when he did

The 120kg dumbell shoulder press impressed me the most. 120kg with one arm

I think the strong man competition has become a Xmas tradition.

What the competitors go through to be physically and mentally fit to undertake some impossible challenges, it's unreal.

Is there a strong woman competition?

There’s no way you can burn that amount of calories, unless you’re taking Steroids Just look at there backs full of spots lol or am I just jealous.

An expedition to the Antarctic only burn 6000 calories a day
