A colleague of mine is leaving for OZ end of the month with a full working visa. He's going to work on a farm as they sponsor his move over.
The same applies to another colleague that I know went to the US and found their visa complex for working.
Think its better to find a company that Will sponsor your move over and get a limited visa, try it, and if you want to stay, apply for a permanent one ? |

Remove the US as an option, Canada is just better in every way over the US.
As for Canada or Oz, logistics and weather is probably your biggest consideration.
Depending where in Canada you can easily have -20 in the winter and +30 in the summer, whereas Oz won’t vary as much but will be hotter than U.K. average.
If you’re going to be travelling back to visit friends and family or have them visit you, Canada is (again depending on which part) anywhere from a 6 to 9 hour flight, compared to Oz which is usually about a 24 hour trip |

Worked in New Zealand and backpacked through Australia. Both are easy enough to adjust to. I guess British Colombia is much the same.
That's a fairly wide range of countries you're looking at. Each will have different entry requirements and job markets.
The size of places was the biggest surprise to me. It's not like the UK, the next large town or city could be a full day's drive away. |
