Go along to a club, sit in the bar, get a feel for the place, talk to people. Once you're through the door that first time, it all seems less daunting. It becomes like just going down the pub, but with fewer clothes. Or more, depending on which bit of the valleys you live in. |

Maybe try Chams newport on an event night as you dont always need membership at those. Last event I took a new guy for a tour and introduced him to a few people, and he came alone and was nervous initially. Dont expect anything more than a few drinks and chats though. Never expect more. |
