A well-written profile, someone who is intelligent, attentive to their desires and boundaries and doesn't jump all over them when you meet (unless they ask you too, of course!). Don't be pushy with messages....and be thoughtful in how you make contact - 'Fancy a fuck?' or 'phwooaar, nice pix' just doesn't work.
