I’m riding a Stumpjumper Cc Comp…really lively, I love it. I also have a Santa Cruze Heckler, and I love that too…different experience but still a great workout.
I ride mostly Margam mountain and surrounding areas. |

Best getting a hard tail if you're spending under a grand. There's plenty to choose from around £500. Even the higher end ones in Halfords are decent enough to start on.
You can get a better deal buying 2nd hand but it depends how hard they've been ridden ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

I used to ride BPW when I had my specialised xc comp but sold that and now got a 1000w ebike, so no more bike parks for me as I'm not uk legal lol, but hey doesn't matter as Wales is full of mountains, and this thing pulls 28mph on the flat, great fun |

"Yes I ride a hard tail, but dislocated my finger on the weekend
Fancy joining us guys for a ride we might spend our time behind you keeping an eye on your rear "
Actually, my finger is still twice the size it’s supposed to be….it’s been 8 weeks now ![](/icons/s/rolleyes.gif) |

Been quite a few years since did any MTB riding. Still have my old Marin Mount Vision - prob bit of a classic now. Got to say fitness is sorely lacking and fancy trying an e-bike.
Anyone suggest an entry level e-mtb and what sort of price would they come in at? |

I've been looking at getting one and they're not cheap. Depends what you mean by entry level.
Harder tails start around a grand but are often rear hub drive and only good for riding along the flat. You need a mid drive to climb the hills around here. A half decent hard tail will be over 2k.
Full suspension at least 4k for a decent one.
Some shops do them on credit, also there's always 2nd hand ones on FB.

Your probably better to look at used to get a better spec main thing is what do you intend to use it for and for how long mid drive will always be better I have a Specilized kenevo and love it can get places I can’t on my stump jumper and still gives a good work out |

Lots of good deals if you’re happy to have last year model. Canyon has great deals and if you look on treads. Ebike are great fun. It’s just a different kind of fun. |

Just ordered a 2022 model at a reasonable price. Hopefully it arrives before the weekend and the weather stays good lol |
