Definition of Swinging.

Just wanted to know what’s people’s definition of Swinging?
My understanding was that, when two strange people meet up socially, makes friends and enjoy intense playing.
Now sure if same principle applies to fab? 
Love to read your thoughts.

Not at all, quite a few people i have met through swing I now consider good friends. Yes there's the added bonus that sex is also a part of that too. However if you really immersed yourself and take the social side of it as serious as the play side then the swing community is so much more than " strangers having sex " if that's your only goal then you are going to miss out on so much more.  |

Not sure about others but I certainly don’t think swinging is just about sex. As I said earlier. For me swinging is about getting to know people.
Perhaps I asked this question in forum. Because I have been round the block long enough to know but clearly people on Fab don’t and yes that does include ladies as well. Prime examples are….. free now, feeling horny as fuck etc etc posted by ladies as well as men.
Initially Fab was great place to meet new people and meet them on socials. But now it seems like tinder.   |

I think poor to no representation has a lot to do with peoples ill informed ideas of what the swinging lifestyle and community is.
I'm pretty sure that a lot of people have the mind set that its all chuck your car keys in type scenario's. Miss representation at its best, still seen as taboo by the so to speak " vanilla " Community and sadly a lot will cross over here or attempt to with that in their minds .
Every swinger will just jump into bed with anyone type of expectation, instead of sitting back, doing their homework, raising it's about connection too and really, fully embracing the lifestyle and it's many benefits. |

Yes we have definitely found getting to know people enhances the sex side and its something we want to continue with.
You get to try new things, find out what each party likes and dislikes, makes it so much more enriching and fun! |

Swinging is clearly about non monogamous relationships, experimentation and an open mind to sexual activity outside of over riding social norms.
Beyond that I’d say it’s impossible to define fully as each person who considers themselves a ‘swinger’ will define themselves differently. That’s clear when you have couples, singles, groups, bi, hetero and gay swingers. Some like dogging, some club meets, some hotels. Some like one offs, some like repeat meets.
It’s impossible to look at that and find an accurate description of swinging we’ll all agree on. My ex wife played on the scene with me for more than 10 years and still does now with her new husband. But she would never describe herself as a swinger. She said “I like playing with other people and that’s it”.
Why try and label people, or put a badge on someone. As long as people are respectful of each other’s wants and needs, does anything else matter? |

Yes I do, aside. From 1 documentary on ch4 where it showed liberty elite there has been next to nothing to educate people about this lifestyle. Even that one made it look seedy. Yet there are plenty of TV shows that attempt to show sexuality and gender identity in positive light ( as they should ) but swing still seems like its stuck as a dirty thing that you don't or shouldn't know about or do sadly |

Social aspect is important. Someone who's not prepared to have a laugh, bit of banter is not for us. Will never ask a guy to have sex 1st meeting. For us getting to know people is part of the fun, building rapport and having fun along the way. |

This is exactly why we have not had any meets since covid, we love to socialise. Could have quick sex any time but not for us.when a stranger becomes a friend then is the time if there is trust and rapport. |
