Hi everyone,
Llanelli Social will be going ahead on 1st April in a private function room in a pub in Llanelli.
Please message if your interested in attending, single males will be limited based on the number of couples and single females attending.
Please still message if your a single male, but we will message you back on a 1st come 1st served basis closer to the time.
Before lockdown we held some socials at our private home regularly but have now found a private function room to continue holding socials for more people going forward.
We hope to hear from you all soon if interested in attending. |

Just an update - we have lots of couples messaging us to attend which is great our private room can hold 50+ people
It has a pool table in our function room too
Please inbox us if your interested in also attending and we can keep you more up to date via direct message |

Just an update we have loads of interest 3 single females and 17 couples now
To anyone reading this single males are invited only and will be limited to 1 single male per 10 couples attending |

Hey everyone just to keep you updated.
We have been given a voucher from bondara to sponsor us for our event and will raffle on the night.
So far we have over 20 couples and 5/6 single females attending.
We will contact single males closer to the time but will only allow 1 single guy per 10 couples to a max of 5.
Still plenty of time to register for the social but please inbox us if your interested. |

Can I ask why it’s only 1 single guy to ever 10 couples? Surely the event should be more inclusive ? |

I think it’s because the hosts used to have socials like this at their home and have now discovered a place which offers more space, I don’t think it’s supposed to be like the Swansea, Newport and Bridgend socials as the hosts are only looking for females and couples on their profile.
Correct me if I’m wrong though |

Definitely wrong sorry this event is not about us
We are holding this event for everyone not just us to get the socials in this area of western wales going again
In regards to why only 1 single male per 10 couples - this is due to the number of couples first of all worried it would turn into them and a load of single males
As the socials become more popular more single males will be invited as more and more people attend |

It’s a fair limit to set based on the number of people attending and room we have at venue
Also… if it was 10 couples and 10 single men not all couples want to meet single men
Single men will be invited once we have a more solid number of people attending but as it stands 1 single male per 10 couples and also 5 single females will be invited
As it stands 35 couples have said they are coming and 9 single females |

There were only 3.5 males able to attend with their ratio to couples attending although no limit for females, maybe try other socials like Swansea, Bridgend and Newport as they aren’t as picky and are welcoming to all with no set limit of males  |

I’ve been to Swansea and Newport socials already. This was the nearest to me, but I get this isn’t like the others and the organisers are selective. Just a little peeved it said first come first served, when it’s not.

I am sorry you feel it was selective but I can assure you that was not the case at all.
Every couple and single female who said they were interested in coming got an invite.
We limited males purely on the basis not everyone wants to meet single males.
I don't want to seem defensive here but I will also like to add that last night I invited in total 7 yes 7 single males who showed interest and gave them the venue details.
1 yes ONE turned up and a slight mis understanding with another one who couldn't find us.
This was NOT a private party it was a social for everyone to attend but yes with limited numbers of single males due to room size and to make sure everyones needs and wants of who they wanted to meet was met.
So again, I am sorry you feel it was like a private party but I can assure you it was not, we did not 'select' people, if you were a couple or single lady ALL were invited and given venue details and limited single males as stated in my first post were invited. |
