I am not familiar with the issues that the Canadians are mobilising against. But speaking as a HGV driver myself, there is plenty that the industry and government can do to improve the working environment. We are human beings, not pieces of machinery. |

So a few points on this:
1. The Nazi flag was not an isolated incident. There were people dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and parking over the National War Memorial. These are acts of flagrant disrespect which directly contradict the fake patriotic narrative. And that’s not to mention the number of people that stood and watched without saying a word. Not everyone there is a Nazi, but ask yourself why this issue in particular attracts far right extremism.
2. The numbers you’re quoting are vastly exaggerated. 50,000 trucks is nonsensical, there isn’t a highway in Canada that can hold more than 20,000 vehicles. According to official counts by the Ontario police department there were less than 500 trucks, with between 1,000 and 2,000 vehicles total. Moreover, not all of those are from Canada. There’s plenty of evidence to suggest that a vocal minority have travelled up from the US, again inflating numbers.
3. This isn’t about mandating vaccines for all, it’s about mandating vaccines for those crossing the border regularly due to their profession. It’s a measure to limit the spread of Covid between countries. There are still around 200,000 new cases per day in the US, the Canadian government are taking steps to negate that risk.
4. This has absolutely nothing to do with dictatorship. Those claiming it does need a reality check. Here in Wales we are at alert level 0, there are very few restrictions on our day to day lives. Vaccines are not mandatory, some places just simply ask that you either have one or provide proof that you have recently tested negative for a highly contagious disease before entering heavily populated environments.
This is not anything new. Take a look at the history of viruses and epidemiology. Vaccines and restrictions have been a thing since the small pox. It’s kept you and your loved ones safe from diseases and you’re only taking issue now because it inconveniences you.

I can't help it the fake news keeps telling more and more people are joining in. I know there were Nazi flags there because the BBC told me. So I can only assume Canada has turned to a Nazi country who go round stealing food from homeless people. |

Oh no the MSM are starting to confirm the fake news is right. So The truckers are not really Nazi's even though they saw 1 flag among hundreds of Canadian flags.
