Rite then pmsl just chucking ideas about lol but here goes so hope it makes sense lol.......
Rite it is my 40th and Ices 50th also Hotlips 50th Birthday next year (long way away i know lol) mines august ices is october hotlips is november... i was thinking of doin a birthday bash but and there is a big but lol
I was thinking of mayb in the summer sumtime.... there are two options lol
one is i rent a field from sumone lol try and i mean try and find a marquee everyone brings their caravans and tents, bring their own booze lol and we do a buffet and entertainment..........
or.....
we try and find a venue and do it that way.......
THE LOCATION WILL BE KNOWN TO ME UNTIL LAST MINUTE..GOING BY PAST EXPERIENCE IE SCOTTISH BUNCH AND CHARLIE AND LOLA ..security is of the upmost importance.
Anyone goin will be checked and their veris checked, other memebers of site will be asked to literally vouch for anyone they know, I know that sounds a bit gestapo but i for one do not want to go to all the trouble of organising summit and have it screwed up by someone .
and now here is THE BIG BUT... would people be willing to help wuith the cost of a marquee/venue/entertainment etc. I need poeple views on this... wat u would be willing to pay per person etc....
this all sounds a bit garbled to me but i hope u lot can make sense of it...let me know wat u think...
Also if their is anyone in the line of entertainment/marquees etc please get in touch with me

Sounds like a great idea and you are totally right you be cautious. I would love an invite and be happy to vouch for people I have met.
I suppose for a well planned evening, up to around £20 I would be happy to pay.

We don't mind either option, quite like the idea of camping.
As for cost, I guess that depends on what gets organised, we book hotels for socials, so anything up to that kinda dosh is good for us. |

If u need real security i could possibly get a few ppl who will ask no questions and keep there mouths shut as i am a supervisor on a site with 11 other gaurds so may be able to sort something for u if any1 asks its a privat function so no questioms then  |

I think we would definately be up for this, depending on the date as both me and Isobel are raising money for charity next year by walking the pembs coast....186 miles in 16 days....anyone interested in parting with a few pounds for eith CF foundation or Oxfordshire mind.....let me know.
Back to the issue at hand.....I don't own a marquee but in those famous words "I know a man who does"....friend of mine, also on the scene but on locals not here....he is from Norfolk but should offer a decent rate, let me know id yoy want hos détails
