Why do they do it????

Jump to: Newest in thread

Why do people ignore what you put on your profile? For example the first two lines of our profile state that we delete friend invites if we haven't exchanged a few messages first, yet some people still send them! Why do they bother - anyone got any ideas????

Agreed. And when you challenge them on it, its amazing how many apologetically have 'pressed the wrong button'. Fucking idiots.

On the subject of perplexing behaviour -

Abusive messages! Why? If we are sceptical to start with being abusive is only going to cement our opinion.

Friends requests without message, winks for no reason, just block delete once a month. Its usually from new peeps who have not worked out the etiquete here! No big deal. No need to get worked up about it. Have a look through before the great DELETE, might be someone you like. lol

Because people

a) don't bother to read a profile

b) use the shotgun approach and message

large numbers of profiles without

reading in the hope that some will

bite

I think it's wrong to message anyone who clearly states you are unsuitable for them with any hope of meeting, to message and compliment on photos is fine

We had one today, was the old "I'm here on business, staying in a hotel, would you like to meet".

States clearly in our profile we don't meet during the week so I just deleted the message.

2 hours later, we had exactly the same message sent to us by the same guy. So not only had he used a copy and paste message, which we hate, he hadn't bothered to read our profile on both occasions he messaged.

Needless to say, he was added to our block list, with an explanation as to why he'd been blocked.

If people take time to write something in their profile, you should read it, no matter how long it is. Cause for all they know, it may just tell them exactly what you want

Then you get messages like this!

"Hey .... ! X"

I guess the guy who sent it expects a reply! He won't get getting one!

Spot on. No need to get irritated on such a trivial matter, just delete it. There are no contracts involved in all of this.

Do agree.. however when you get inundated with ignorant people who either can't read or can't be bothered to read profiles put there simple to enable us to find the people that we want to play with and avoid the ones we clearly don't.... it does get you really frustrated.. even if you don't want it to.

It does show how ignorant people are.. and also how stupid and desperate they are to get a shag.

Yesterday a message 'i have read your profile and fit what your looking for'.. Well he'd been on the site an hour so no pics and veris was bisexual and wanted to meet TV/TS... Completely NOT what we are looking for..

Its so frustrating.. winks and fruends invites all the time without any contact we do just delete. And if it was only the odd one i get the not getting frustrated.. but its most and that really annoys us. Its a sgame as the site should have more genuine swingers who would not and do not act like that.. but hey seems thats the way of it at the moment. Our block list is already around 900 ! I counted a week ago !

I echo the sentiments of the above. Try being a single female then let's see how irritated you get. My bullshit tolerance level is low at the best of times but this really gets my goat.

It baffles me as to why there isn't a function to turn friend requests off.

Completely agree. would be great to be able to turn off invites and winks.. would probably keep alot more people on the site.. as it gets so frustrating its enough to make you think 'why in earth do we bother'

Maybe you can but not found it yet.. it also bugs us the people that view your profile that for us arent looking for a couple.. just had one looking for men tv/ts or women.. why view couple profile that really winds us up.

Wish just single guys that fit our criteria could view.. even if it was just people in Wales would be a start.

I can only imagine what it must be like for a single woman on here.. i commend you for not doing anyone damage by now lol ... i know i would have (Mrs typing)

Sadly the only guys that seem to have the right attitude (not part of couple) is married ones ..always the way as we wont meet them. They are always polite considerate and non pushy. Typical.

Can be so frustrating. Our profile makes it quite clear we're looking for someone local who can accommodate, so why have we had replies from the following places, and I have limited to 6 purely as examples:

liverpool

southampton

reading

hereford (ok not that bad)

salisbury

york (go figure!)

guys, you need to buy a road atlas!

We tell guys like that to book a room close to us and they can pick up 100% of the bill. Most don't bother replying!

We (or should I say S) has a way of dealing with the one-liners.....with one-liners.....try it yourself, you'll be amazed how many don't reply when all you say is "we are good thanks" to their "how's you?" Lol

We do this too, though you sometimes get the ones who then go onto the next probing, deep line of questioning: " what you guys up to then?"

winks for no reason???? surley a wink is just that.

Someone saying i like you.

we think its a great way of starting things off or just reply thanks for the wink but you are not for us....what is the problem with winks?

I agree with winks being a good thing...and are not sent 'for no reason'.

It's simply a case of saying 'I have look at your profile and liked what I have seen' the ball is then in the receivers court to wink back, or message, or ignore....no real harm done?!

I have on numerous occasions been winked by couples who specifically state that they don't meet single men on their profile...I generally send a wink back, or a short message saying 'thanks for the wink'....and 9 times out of 10 a conversation has been started to see if we are looking for the same things....which we usually are, lol

long live the winks, lol

Posted in forum today and we got several messages all of which it was clear that the responder had

A: not read the ad

B: not read our profile

When we played before some years ago cannot remember it being this hard.

Another thing is why does a guy claim they are mid-40s only to send photos of someone older than my grandad! Hell thought one of them was!!!

Don't stress over it. Simply delete all friends invites /winks after browsing through and selecting any potential " to-do's "

Exactly same here... we are gonna give up looking to meet anyone one here its a waste of time when you have to trawl through so many idiots that clearly cant read. we have family one of us wirks and the runs our own business thought this would be an easy way to locate suitable meets but not.. we will stay on here to keep in contact with the few we have met and for socials as we really enjoy the cardiff ones we have been to.. but thats all from now on...its gone downhill in the time we have been on here ... such a shame..
