We always watch the partners reactions to their other half's actions.

When people try too hard to be what they think that you want... it is so transparent - would much rather people just be themselves.

If things are going smoothly, going to the bedroom and it's not obvious that the bedding/sheets were changed that day.

My standard answer now is that despite being a comfortably off guy, I can't afford lurve, but lust, that's a different commodity all together, and comes well within budgets. Other "Red Flags" as you call them include, a desire to introduce me to their family, or using my mum, who I'm also carer for as emotional leverage by sending me home with home baking for her, and knitting jumpers for her. Also when I was a construction site manager, fetching sandwiches into work for me would send me running like a scalded cat. |

-Lies.

I've had two FWB tell me that, not early in the relationship admittedly but a year or so in. Should have walked away then as clearly they wanted more than I could or was willing to offer but I didn't. With one it ended amicably, the other it approached stalker level with constant phonecalls, messages, threats to tell everyone I knew I was on fab, phoning my workplace etc. |
