What are peoples thoughts on winks?
I personally appreciate receiving a wink, gives me some sort of indication that someone maybe interested and may possibly want to chat.
I also like to send winks for the same reason as an indication that I like a woman/couples profile and would be interested in chatting.
After reading a lot of profiles I've come to see a few state they ignore winks altogether so I thought I'd put this post out to see if this is the case across the board or just a select few.
Appreciate any replies and happy fabbing! |

i hate them and the friend requests from someone who has never even said hi to you.
winks are a lazy way to make a start

I think I've responded to a wink once but in general it doesn't tell me enough about a person/couple. It's like a message that just says, hi.
From experience, those people like my picture but they haven't read my profile and haven't thought about if we meet each other's requirements. |

I can see why men in particular might send a wink. If they're anything like me they send loads of nicely written polite messages, only to get most of them deleted with no reply,so it's a lot easier just to send a wink & see if they get a response. |

We love the wink system & I'm more likely to respond positively to them than to a message. For us it's a low key hi we like what we see. Sorry to those I haven't responded too but when I'm out of action I don't keep an eye on things |

Some use them. Some don't.
It's all down to personal preference I suppose.
I use winks far more than I would message someone as If they like what they see on my profile they would wink back.
It's better than them receiving hundreds of messages. |

I know, all these hundreds of messages I receive are a pain |

"I ignore them altogether. Women on here get hundreds, mainly from awful lazy profiles. So in the end they tend to get ignored. "
Same. Just write me a message |

I tend to use the wink system, I do view them, and if interested will view profile as next step.
If they aren't what I am looking for or interests don't align, I then delete.
Same goes for messages, I view profile/veris before reading message, and apply the same principle above |

"We view these and respond if we're interested although it may not be as speedy as a message but we don't mind a shyer hello
Mrs
Wink! "
This thread reminds me of the winky wanky bird. When he winks he wanks and when he wanks he winks. |

I do look at mine and if I get a wink off someone I like the look of I do wink back.
Not a fan of random friend invites though especially when you havent even spoken. I always ask if its ok to send an invite before I do it. |

I use the wink system as a per curser to sending a message. If I don't get a reply of the wink. Ain't no point spending time on writing a message. As you ain't gonna get a message back. Just my opinion mind..

We use the winks feature. I can understand why people might think it's lazy but it's more of a gauge of interest for us. If the recipients like what they see, then they can wink or message back.
Equally, we like to receive winks, and will wink/message back dependant on attraction/curiosity.
Personally, I'd rather a wink than a poor message without much thought. |
