"We are travelling from Pendine hot rod racing next weekend to Morfa the following weekend in our motorhome. Can anyone recommend places in between. "
When you say Morfa, do you mean Morfa Dyffryn beach?
Going via Cardigan would be the sensible option given the post above . The coast road beyond it is lovely, although very busy in summer. I would head inland from Aberystwyth for a while - the interior is beautiful. Keep an eye on the roads though - you see some motorhomes on really narrow ones!
If you don’t go via Cardigan (madness!). I’d go via Carmarthen - Lampeter - Tregaron. Lovely road.
Beyond Aberystwyth, Machynlleth is a lovely town for a stop. Either take the coast road, or the main road to Dolgellau. Both are wonderful. The Mawddach estuary is gorgeous. There’s lovely walks on the estuary, in the hills, or bigger walks on Cader Idris etc.
It kinda bugs me that some people just see Morfa Dyffryn and miss the gorgeous scenery in the area!
There is a Morfa near Pendine, thinking about it. If you mean there - it’s journey of a few miles! |
