Singles social

I renovated a large 16th century cottage a few years ago which even had a snooker table in it,that being the only item that the bailiffs couldn't lift when it was repossessed. I arranged a couple of events there, amazing how many had to be gone by ten o'clock, surprise surprise. |

The Newport one ran quite a few times IIRC. The organisers put a lot into it.
In fairness, the one I went to had a good turn-out. |

Hey we use to run the singles social in Newport which then we use to take all newbies for their first visit to chams afterwards 
It's hard to know who is & who isn't single & a lot of fab members have a joint account but don't live together.
We also got to the point people were complaining as we then got married so how come we ran a singles social
But you can't please everyone
Good luck to you organising one &

We can't wait for all this to be over so we can organise something again |

We had a good few ones but then it got to the point people wouldn't even bother turning up nor bothering letting us know  |

Yes please that would be a great idea. The only problem will be that it will be very male heavy. There will be far more men who want to attend than women. |

Newport single socials but I know the organiser put a lot into it and you still had a lot of males holding places on guest list but not turning up etc.
It’s amazing how many men can’t make evening/weekend meets. |

Newport single socials but I know the organiser put a lot into it and you still had a lot of males holding places on guest list but not turning up etc.

* I’ll be organising so it will be even numbers
* not all attached folk can’t make certain days as more and more folk work shifts
* a deposit will be taken, if folk don’t turn up they will lose their money
* there will be a back up list
