Would recommend doing some research if you really wanted to get in to it.

It’s more than 50 shades and porn hub!

But with the right person it can be amazing

Very definitely! I once had a meet with a guy who cried after spanking me... I was pretty new to things at the time. Needless to say we didn’t meet again!

I just don’t like being anyone’s test subject - hence why I also avoid “bi-curious” women - but especially when it’s something that might get me injured or worse.

Can’t win them all. As much as I’d like a sub I have got to start somewhere. Can’t really blame me for trying.

Lucy is 100% submissive, enjoys the swinger side of things but adores the Dom/sub dynamic. She finds it fulfilling and asked to be caned last week. We'd both find it very hard to go back to a vanilla relationship.

There is, of course, another site that caters to people like us!

Dom/sub is a practiced art, and there's a difference between bdsm and assault, and some idiots don't know the difference.

Thank you for all the positive feedback on this subject, and my respects to those of you who have messaged me privately. It seems that there are a lot of daydreamers, and wannabes chancing their luck with some of you, who also don't realise the difference between being dominant, and being a control freak.

Submission happens with the right person, and most women (and men) know within a few words whether or not the dynamic is there.

I, along with quite a few women on this thread it seems, have had bad experiences, where the ‘Dom’ can talk the talk and thinking that’s it’s all about being rough, but when it comes down to things like aftercare, they just can’t handle it.

I’d suggest lots and lots of research. Watching porn gives a completely unrealistic view on it. There so much more involved than a slap on the arse and a few harsh words.

Thats the trouble with the fake doms who just think treating the womam rough sexwise is being dominant. Just the way grip jennys hair makes her get soaking wet and when we can play she will not allow anyone else to do that as she loves that way i handle her. It about chemistry, a strong mental link ect more than just being rough. Some guys can never learn as they think dominating a lady is all about them being in control and doing as they please to the woman.

So if I don’t like humiliation and am not a “pain slut” (not a great choice of words btw), I’m not a “real submissive”?

Ooh so I’m not a real submissive because I’m not a pain slut (absolute heinous and misogynistic choice of phrase) and I hate humiliation I’m not submissive. Hmmm.

Sorry but you really have not got a clue about the D/s lifestyle. A Dom cares for his sub, and the phrase pain slut wtf did you get that from . Reeducate yourself and stop watching porbhub as that is misleading as fuck. Aa for humiliation, thats a porn tbing and nothing to do with the D/s lifestyle at all.

As representatives of the many couples who span the swinger and Ds community, we feel it's worth chipping in here again. Perhaps it's a good opportunity to promote understanding of the Ds world!

We'd certainly agree with the generally positive sentiments here; we are a strong Ds couple and we'd certainly agree that a Dom/sub relationship isn't just about thrashing the sub with a cane, although if we are to be honest the cane is part of our relationship, exclusively in the right setting and where it is satisfying and empowering. There is mutual respect inherent in our relationship at all times, as in all real Ds relationships.

Regarding the preceding post, in the BDSM world subs often identify as painsluts, and if they do, who is to argue with them? In a real Ds relationship, it's the sub who determines the role she is comfortable with, in Lucy's case a master's slut, whore and submissive. Those are her offerings, not mine, and she wears her role with pride. She has my total respect that she has offered up those things to me. No identifier that a sub willingly chooses, including painslut, are disparaging terms if they are recognised by the couple, valued, and used lovingly and respectfully; my sub Lucy enjoys pain as part of a mutually respectful and loving relationship and I am sure she would not object to the use of the term in respect of her, although it's not one we find we have to use at the moment. Pain is however a part of our dynamic, fulfills her and she responds with huge orgasms, as it does for many couples who don't identify as Ds.

I am proud that she has decided to take the role of my submissive, whore and lover, and I respect her completely for her decision and offering. In return, I accept her offering and return my respect and protection. And, indeed, the very special sort of love that can exist in a Ds relationship.

I hope that we can be forgiven for what we hope is a constructive post in a predominantly swinger community, which we are also, of course, members of. We also love to meet couples, share our thoughts and bodies, and when we are asked about the form of our relationship (Lucy's collar generally gives it away!) we try to respond with honesty. It can sometimes be a struggle to explain that a Ds relationship is a valid and loving relationship, amidst the rainbow of relationship types that our wonderful world can encompass. So please forgive us for chipping in again; we're not trying to hijack this post, just taking the opportunity to discuss a form of relationship that is satisfying to us, and to inform those who may decide to dip their toes in the water!

The key part is the “willingly chooses” part. The poster I and a few others were replying to was using it as a broader descriptor, and certainly didn’t do so with love and respect. He could and should have said “masochist” instead. He also very heavily implied that if a sub isn’t into humiliation or extreme pain, they aren't a “real” sub, which is a large part of what we were objecting to.

Thats the main difference the joking doms do not understand. Most think hurting and basically assaulting a woman is bdsm ffs.
