With travel restrictions in place was it really essential for PM to visit Cwmbran today or is it one rule for establishment and another for everyone else.

Let's not forget its not just Boris, it's his staff, security, media etc

Eluded Morgan MS gave the Welsh Government update from Cardiff. She travelled from her home in St. David's to do so. She could and should have done the briefing from home using zoom.

At the end of the day he is the primeminister of the uk and is expected to travel around the country. If he didn t that would be wrong too and people would say he isn t interested.

What ever you think of the man he is in a no win situation.

Tbh

Who on here could honestly suggest someone or state they could and would have done better. Don t think any politicion was expecting covid after the last election

Ffs anyone with one ounce of common sense could have done better. Hes blundered and bluffed his way through this pandemic while dishing out billions of pounds in contracts to tory donors.

Who'd of thought tories would make billions out of over 120,000 deaths.

Vile lot.

yet he actually refused to visit the terrible flooding in the valleys last year dismissing the affected people out of hand and regarding wales as too unimportant while he holidayed repeatedly and attended lavish banquets laid on by his cronies and chumocracy associates.

#part-timePM

Why is everyone having a go at Boris. Wales has been run by Labour since the assembly was formed and the various leaders of the senydd. May be we need to look closer to home lol.

Because if he'd acted quicker in closing borders we prob wouldn't be in this mess 12 months later

Only the Westminster government has control of the border not the devolved governments.

Plus the clown boasted about shaking hands with covid patients and hides in fridges. The worst PM in my opinion the uk has ever had.

Ps he had to be shamed into feeding vulnerable children by Manchester United star Marcus Rashford

Whatever you personal opinion of the man is. No one was expecting or has dealt with this pandemic or any other for over 100year's.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Would everyone do things differently yes !

Will we learn from it maybe ?

Are there some who have made the wrong descision definitely!

Are there hundreds of people who broke the rules absolutely !

But as a previous comment said wales is run be a labour lead assembly. Which even before the pandemic was failing Education and the NHS and trying to blag their way through that.

And without the Uk government money we would be in an even bigger mess.

No polititians are perfect or squeeky clean but that is the nature of the beast. If you voted for him or against that was your choice but if you didn t vote or care then you can only blame yourself.

it's not hindsight when johnson has repeatedly ignored the advice and recommendations made by sage.

Talking of sage

How many u turns have they made ?

No masks? masks !

500k dead a month ? (Admitidly 1 death to covid was too many)

No one is perfect. But all we can do in the aftermath is ensure we rebuild the country and economy and try to be better human beings.

I like most have lost people during this pandemic but am just glad to still be here and able to comment on things. Weither it's right or wrong.

Move to china or one of the other communist countries and try speaking your mind there ????

Not really relevant I know but in my humble opinion how can anyone vote conservative and have a clear conscience.

This government and covid have for me highlighted and made many others finally realise that the conservative party are a party mainly for the most wealthy parts of our society. The poorer parts of our society have to fight tooth and nail or shame the government into any help which most of the time is minimal.
