Currently living in the Neath area in a big old Victorian house, looking to downsize to something a bit smaller that needs less maintenance.
Can’t decide if I want to go east to the porthcawl area or west to cross hands area.
Pros and cons for both. Thoughts and ideas welcome |

Don't know much Carmarthen way but you are closer to the gower and beaches which is beautiful.
Porthcawl is ok, couple of beaches but nothing spectacular plus it gets really busy.
I'm from bridgend originally but moved to swansea...west is best as they say. |

West is best for most things - but life on here all but runs out passed Swansea and Llanelli. |

Depends how often you'll use the M4 & where you'd be going. Cross Hands would be good if you planned to travel to Pembrokeshire often. If you went Cardiff way a lot you'd soon be cursing it. |
