So apparently it's cuffing season, which refers to a period of time where single people begin looking for short term partnerships to pass the colder months of the year. Cuffing season usually begins in October and lasts until just after Valentines Day....
Heard this on the radio this morning and think it's incredibly accurate!

"I have never heard of cuffing season, funny enough i was on a short term relationship this time ladst year. I suppose it normal for both sexes to consider a partner during the winter months."
