we are shocked to see so many statuses looking for physical meets, plus our area has been overwhelmed with tourists that don't give a shit ,leaving litter everywhere no social distancing at all we are definitely heading for a second lockdown with so many idiots that don't give a shit about the safety of others and that act like it is all over

Use your own judgement and assessment of risk and let others use theirs. Just because others are choosing to meet that doesn't mean anyone else has to. You do what is right for you and let others do the same

Newport

We are on holidayin Devon camping.

I was waiting out side the toilet/shower block for my partner. All have signs out side in bright yellow and black saying use the sanitisers etc.

Saw about 12 people going not bothering.

People out and about not social distancing. Down here its all forgotten!

Its mad that people aren't even doing the basics not even washing hands after leaving the toilets!

People aren't wanting to take responsibility for their own actions.

People seem to expect the government to do it all for them. I'm ok Jack bugger everyone else!

100% agree. If pubs are open and despite the 2 meters, it's not happening. Just assess the risk and what's best for you both.

You’re missing the point. This is a societal issue and we will only get through this if the majority remain cautious and act accordingly. Laissez faire is usually fine but is the equivalent of ‘head in the sand’ under these circumstances.

It's disappointing that people you've been speaking with to plan a future meet are now openly meeting people during the pandemic, I have now reconsidered meeting with them in the near future Xx

Many thanks but I'm not missing the point

I just appreciate that different people have different perception of risk whether it be in regard to themselves or others. This is human nature regardless of the circumstances. To one person, meeting one person off here may be their version of low risk in comparison to others. The numbers (if they are accurate or not is another issue) in Wales are low so each individual will use that information to make their own informed decisions. What seems reckless to one may be cautious to another. I just understand that

The point is that it isnt the OP doing what is safe and not worrying. The selfish acts of others impacts everyone. You only have to see what is happening in the US with all of their record cases and some hospitals being overwhelmed.

If that happens here lockdown will follow. That will destroy yet more businesses and more lives. It will prolong the inability of the NHS to treat anything other than C-19. Lots more people will die from this. Cancer treatments have already been stopped for 4 months for some. That is a death sentence for many. Not to mention the longer waiting lists that mean more people will live with pain for years longer than they should.

If there is a spike in Wales and Wales locks down again that will be devastating for my campsite. Yet we are cleaning showers in between every pitch having a shower and cleaning toilets hourly. We are doing the right thing and being praised by our guests. But guess what, I could close because of idiots.

Anyone who cannot see the bigger potential problems and say dont worry about it just look after yourself really is part of the problem.

Tell me about it. I'm still suffering now..after getting it back in Feb. It comes in waves and my chest has never been the same.

And the lethargy and sheer exhaustion is horrid. I can have a couple of days when I'm fine..then BANG..so tired!

Luckily, mine was a mild case, but the long haulers seem to only GET mild cases initially..

I do think that people either don't care, or don't believe in it...the sheer amount of stupid people out there boggles my brain.
