I've adapted quite well to alternative exercise although I do miss the gym. Even before Covid I'd always thought they were hotbeds for infection. Equipment being used constantly by 100's of sweating people every day and rarely cleaned between each use other than a quick wipe down by some. Viruses can survive for up to 72 hours on metal and plastic surfaces. To prevent you from picking them up from an infected user would require that equipment to be literally hosed down with anti bacterial between each use. I guess the risk can be reduced by wearing a mask and not touching your face while in there but the latter is just about impossible as it's a natural reaction. Sadly I may cancel my membership and continue with what I have been doing at home, at least in the short term. |

I've managed to shift just under a stone
Hopefully the gyms will open soon
so I can get back in a proper training routine
And no I don't believe there will be a so called "second wave" |

I have put on weight during lockdown.
Have been told 2nd wave is being expected October by local NHS trusts and that is why all the local field hospitals are still running including the one in the principality stadium. |
