Just last night I had a lovely gentleman who I blocked (wasn’t my type so I block and move on) pop a status up saying I was for to up myself, rude and hungry for attention!
Worst I’ve had was someone steal my pictures, put them on his profile saying we were now committed - this was after calling me a racist and telling me how no black man would ever want to go near my ginger cunt

We count our selfs lucky as well been on and off swinging for many years . And to my knowledge not Had more than a few only one that sticks out was from a man saying she to fat and would never find anyone els to swing with . My response was easy block and the problem was gone . But it did stuck in her head and we left swinging for a few years then because of it . We been members again this time for about a year and no problems at all .
We make good use of the block button as well it helps us keep track who we think we are suited to xx

I got called a narcissistic prick by one for saying I wasn't interested followed by a mass of abuse. I was polite and returned a message to say I wasn't meeting at the moment but would be happy to chat in the future then had a lovely response! (a lady that was!)
Also got called a sad, fat old man followed by a lengthy few sentences about how all men are the same on this site etc. I only dropped a compliment on that one! |

I got berated by a couple for merely winking at them...the audacity of me eh? I sent a polite apology (for the wink) telling them I'd ensure it wouldn't happen again and they continued the tirade, presumably in a bid to get some sort of response from me so that they could complain about in here. I didn't respond, blocked them and moved on. They are regulars in the Wales forum too and yes they were advertising for men in addition to women and couples. So it isn't just single men that are guilty of being rude although I'll put money on the messages being the male half. |

I once had the reply “how dare you message me with a face like that “ albeit on another popular dating site. I never been the best looking and I know and accept that, and when you already got a confidence issue it makes you worse. After a while I just thought fuck it, majority of people I meet seem to like me as a person and seem to enjoy my company. Thankfully I haven't had any abusive replies, I respond politely and pass on my gratitude for compliments.
I dare say my lucky run will end soon enough, but any abuse I receive will not matter to me, nor hurt me. I will simply block them and move on.

I dont agree, if you someone has taken the time to read a profile, taken note of a specific area, and the time to write a nice message, a kind no thankyou doesnt take much, and shows youre a respectful person. You can always add filters to limits messages recieved and from who. This can help.
Manners, cost nothing
Maybe an automated "delete and no thanks" response button would be a good idea. Just as convienient for the ladies as the delete button but may make the men feel a little less hard done by . Sorry men but if you are upset by the lack of replies then Fab may not be a healthy environment for your self esteem.
I guess what is clear is we shoudnt judge others by our own higher standards.
There are many out there who like their ego fluffed and hide the identity while acting in such a way which supports their own self esteem across the keyboards.

I’m sure as much as the ladies on here would love to reply to every message they receive, there are just not enough hours in the day. Especially as most (if not all) have a life outside of Fab (families, work, etc). It’s just not physically possible |

I think the overriding issue is, having seen the nature of the messages my girlfriend gets is that the vast majority of men don’t read her profile. Yes the profile text is lengthy however it’s like that because she is looking for what she wants. Now if the profile text says (something along the lines of) please no text speak and if you cannot string a sentence together please don’t waste your time messaging. So what does she get......
How’s U doin = read and deleted
I am near you can I come round = read deleted
Can I fuck you in front of your b/f = read delete
Profile saying ‘cannot accommodate and very discreet..... ‘can I ask are you in a relationship’ reply.... yes is that a problem = read and delete
However if someone reads her profile, picks out some areas where he thinks he fits the bill/Bull says he loved her picture, she will reply either with a thank you for a nice message and chat or say thanks but no thanks!
So in summary it’s a lack of reading her profile and crap first messages that are the reason she won’t reply! |

My jaw is firmly on the floor. I cannot believe some of the things I’m reading here. Do people (men mainly) really actually say things like that, and dish out abuse due to rejection?
I’m utterly bewildered. There’s plenty of people I see on here who I’d like to message, but I always read their profile in full first. No point me wasting both their and my own time if it’s obvious they wouldn’t be interested in me.
When I do get a reply I’m pleasantly surprised, even if that reply is a no thanks. If they just delete me message then it’s clearly a sign they aren’t interested and I move on. What is the point of sending abuse! |

I've been called alsorts, some of it quite inventive.
My favourites are the ones that start off all complimentary (you are gorgeous etc), and then, when you politely turn them down, you suddenly become a "minger" or "fat slut" who they wouldnt touch with a bargepole. Talk about wounded pride, some of these guys flip faster than... well, a really fast flippy thing lol. |

Totally agree. They simply don't know how to take no as an answer. People don't read profiles either. If men took the time to read, they'll what you are looking for.

Its not abuse as such but the last few days Ive blocked guys who have made some not nice comments about my profile but thats only after they have read my replies.
Yes I write some shit on my profile but its my profile and Ill put on it what I want thanks. You dont have to read my profile and if you dont like it block me....... simple  |

We had a status put up saying something along the lines of we were fake and just a guy or something and to be warned , Keep in mind we'd never messaged this person ever and have single males turned off. We then politely messaged him correcting him that we were in fact real and didn't have a clue what he was getting at. A really strange way of trying to get our attention we blocked him very quickly afterwards. |
