I’ve seen two profiles claiming they are waiting on “covid antibody test” to show they’re immune.

I thought only NHS staff (and footballs, politicians and members of the royal family) were being tested.

Is this some sneaky way for them to persuade people to meet them?

Footballers, politicians and royal family had the antigen test to show that they were infected. That is different to the antibody test which will show that you have had the virus and recovered.

I am aware of that...

I’m more questioning why anyone on fab can claim they’re going to be tested when any testing seems to be limited in the U.K. currently.

Once the antibody test is widely available those who are immune could conceivably agree to meet others who are.....good luck with that mate!

I wonder if those tested and/or vaccinated once that is sorted will be forced to wear a identify bracelet like in the film Contagion?

As far as I’m aware, your going to be able to buy them in boots and on amazon. Don’t know how much for. But it’s just a finger prick test similar to how a diabetic checks their blood sugar

And even if they were genuine, could show you antibody test that confirmed. How many would still meet? The restrictions don't say 'except you'
