Is it just me, or are the forums angrier than usual? I wonder if the stress and anxiety of the lockdown is making people quicker to anger. Is anyone else noticing this?

People are going thru a range of different emotions and situations right now. It's inevitable that interactions would be different to usual.

Yes! The attitudes on here are not making me want to open our doors again. I'm seeing the best and the worst of humanity on here.

We've hidden our profile as I was sick of some of the negative, nasty, ill informed messages we were getting; we got some lovely ones too but the negatives one reverberated.

I used to spend several hours a day on here, promoting events, taking part in fun forums and answering hundreds of questions a day about the scene, the club, events, how it all works etc...

Now, I may jump on 3-4 times just to be nosey and I don't like what I see, so that will probably be reduced.

But we are all going through it, and people should be supporting each other and lifting each other up.

The forums and fab should be a light release not a platform to air frustrations

It’s the lack of wanting to genuinely make friends that is pissing me off.. as u say we are in this together. Doesn’t care how supportive or fun I want to be... just nothing but negativity in return .... right now I’ve stopped moaning lol.. how are all u in this thread ... u all sound decent ppl, so let’s make our own happy clique lol

That is awful reading, like you had a choice to close. Cannot imagine the worry it is causing you and you certainly don't deserve abuse for trying to keep yourselves and everyone safe.

It is interesting to see how this crisis is bringing out the worst and best in people. A good social filter if nothing else.

Keep safe guys.

It's such a shame...

People handle stress and anxiety in different ways.. But I do prefer to pass a bit of cheer Ali g rather than misery. I have been chatting to some Nice people tho.. So not all bad..

Major catastrophes or incidents will always bring out the best and worst in people. You will see both selfishness and selflessness. A lot of people seem to thrive on debating the ins and outs of what is happening and become over aggressive the more self opinionated they are. Everyone is struggling at the moment because let’s face it, we all need social interaction of some kind. All we can do is try to avoid the arguments, (there’s already enough fear, hatred and selfishness out there) and instead look for and engage with the more uplifting and happy people on here. Keep safe and keep washing your hands.

I have taken some "stick", not too bothered, broad shoulders. I will debate with anyone. Not too happy about having insults slung about and am also a bit puzzled by those who block me because I hold a contrary view. Don't think I have blocked anyone. Would only consider doing so if someone was a personal nuisance...

I do agree with this. I think the forums are a place for light hearted fun and banter as well as debate and discussion on more serious topics. It's unavoidable that people will have differing opinions but there isn't a need to resort to abuse and insults.

Thanks all. I'm really glad it's not just me being overly sensitive.

I think this could be a great opportunity to actually make some real friends. I totally get that we're all really wound up right now, and I'm not bashing anyone who's feeling the rage, but there's that old cliche about being the change you want to see.

So I'm going to drop a couple of lines in my profile about it and open up my mailbox to everyone for a chat and a virtual cuppa!

I've never seen such inhumane comments as I have recently, there's some awful things being said while people are genuinely suffering, grieving and living in fear of their lives

My block list is getting bigger and bigger, I realise it would be no big loss but I'm seriously considering just blocking myself and leaving, I'm getting to the stage where I don't want to be a part of it. It's going to wreck this site completely, most people will have fallen out with each other by the time this is over whenever that will be and it's a shame because there are plenty of genuinely lovely caring people on here

The forums should be for people to add they're opinions on each topic which I try to do but there are certain people who will jump down your throat for commenting which is a shame.

As I have said before I am always happy to talk to anyone.

Lots of people have mixed emotions, no one is the same.

Always happy to hear from people. Good things can come out of a crisis.

New friends is one of them

Right attitude in my opinion. My inbox is bursting since I opened it to everyone lol... and not all of the messages have been dick pics.

Agree 100%, cannot accept we are entitled to hold a different opinion and that should be respected. People I profoundly disagree with but would not sling insults at them or block them. What is the point....might just walk away after a time..

I’ve never been more convinced that Fab does not represent the country. Out there lots of people and organisations are doing fantastic things trying to get the country through a crisis. Come to the forums and it’s a cluster of the carping, the critical and the moronic

Walking away is the worst thing you could do man. We're all raging but if the positive ones leave, it'll be unbearable!

Yes, some certainly but not all. There is some good thought provoking debate among the crass garbage and insults...

Ok, can people stop using threads like this to have a dig at people, whether you name them or not

I am going to shut this now...can people remember we are all in this together, if people are going to be stuck at home and enjoy the site, then please be civil and lets stop with the attacking people just because they hold a different view than you

To clarify, if you are using a thread to dig at people whether you name then or not, threads will be closed. If you use threads to attack people whether you name them or not posts will be removed .

Lets have some respect for other people and their posts, if you can't do that then maybe don't post

There is no need to mail me, the answer is already here and my previous of why the thread is closed
