Because most want to feel a little fresh air in their lungs. If they are permitted a short walk to exercise then who are you to judge them.

It would be good to read a positive comment from you OP instead of your continual snide remarks and judgemental comments

If people are keeping safe social distances, then walking remains healthy exercise and good for emotional well-being.

Focus on your own life and what you can do to improve your own well-being.

Excuse me, a lot of people here, have expressed a complete lockdown from the word go.

Just like China.

They weren't allowed to go out.

Only one could go to a shop to get shopping once a day.

No walks etc.

Ok. But why do you think people are having their "daily walk"?

It's because they are ALLOWED TO, under Govt rulings. That's how it is at the moment.

Just because you don't exercise or take advantage of a "daily walk" option, doesn't make those that do so, wrongdoers.

No and no. Simple. Some of the negativity in your posts certainly won't be helping some people either. Why should they be made to feel guilty by the likes of you? If you choose not to go for a walk or excercise that's fine, please don't preach to others who wish to. As for slating dog walkers on another of your threads, that's well out of order. Maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself. This is how fake information and scaremongering starts.

Nothing wrong with a daily outside walk as long as common sense is used, if you live in a block of flats in the middle of a city then thats a different thing as there is obviously more risk, same as there is more risk walking into a supermarket

If I wanted I could stick to walking in back garden as it is 3 acres of grassland but I do go out for a drive daily

I can drive 20 miles of backroads without passing a single car or truck and due to this the deer are venturing closer to roadsides

things are changing

The police should introduce instant fines by those who keep doing it and not respecting the cerfew.

I'm taking Pooch out for his hour every day and no more .

Seems like there's more people outside now than there was before , because they are being told they cant , even though they were probably not walking before

Daily walks, getting out in the sun is an excellent idea and tonic. It's the idiots rallying their mates for a barbeque and sitting hugging each other that's the problem.

..

I obey the rules, I have open moors at the back of my house so if they are saying we can go for a walk away from others then I will do that. If they say no more walking then I will also obey that.

The queue to get in the supermarket yesterday was a walk in itself all be it a slow one, 4 steps every 5 minutes. With supermarkets cutting their opening hours and limiting numbers in the shop at any one time I would say it’s more dangerous getting the shopping than a walk in the open.

Yes, as instructed by the government

Why ?

Don't you think it's cheating and being selfish if you don't "normally" go for a walk.

#stayathome"

Absolutely not, people get at least some exercise in their normal daily routine

After the onslaught to the NHS from Corona virus the last thing we need to inflict on it is a country of (even more) overweight people suffering all sorts of illness.

It certainly is and if people could be trusted to use common sense then the government would be telling people to go for long walks all day every day and don't stay in your home unless you are sick as along as you stay 10m away from everyone and don't cough into the air and don't touch your face unless you've washed your hands.

Unfortunately common sense went missing sometime between the 70's and 80's and was replaced by mass stupidity.

If I go out it's around the block / to the riverside / back at midnight (or later). Absolutely no-one is out.

If I see any emergency vehicles I'll wave and smile and if time clap - they always smile / wave back. I think we should all acknowledge them so whenever we see them....

going out for exercise is not finding loopholes.

I've found loop holes.. which for me is going to save my mental health I hope... which is I've volunteered for all sorts.. which means I am getting out and about daily

#stayathome no as we probably did something else. I went swimming or had lots of sex. Now neither are an option. So for the sake of my mental health I go for a walk "

WOW! Walking as a substitute for sex. I thought things were bad when McDonald's all closed but now this really is a national crisis.

"What gives people right to dispute official government advice ?"

I had an arguement with a lady today that said I'd been out for too long. She said she clocked when my car left my drive and it took me 4 hours..and she was going to report me. In my four hours out of the house..I'd shopped for myself ( including trying to find a shop with specialist food on the shelves) shopped for two people isolated due to having symptoms. Also went shopping for 5 other people who are in the list of people that are going out.. I then dropped off all the shopping and stopped to chat through the window ( distance kept) with two of the most lonely people I'm helping... yet this moaning murtle I kept having to take a step back and she came out of her home to have a go at me.

About to wave at her when I take my pooch for a walk

"What’s wrong with a daily wank ? I always clean up afterwards and it’s a welcome release. "

It's not OK if you're doing it in the park with the other walkers, even if you keep 2 meters distance.

Report her to the police for harassment

I'm sure they have enough to be going on with. I mentioned it a friend who is a policeman and he said that it was unlikely to be acted upon but if it did. A quick show of the fact I'm a registered volunteer would be all that was needed.
