Figures suggest approx 80% of people get mild or no symptoms. Approx 4% dying but that figure is based on confirmed cases. The actual % dying will be lower as many more non confirmed cases as tests not being carried out on people self isolating at home with symptoms. |

A person's viral load, according to a study from Hong Kong (the Lancet) discovered on a nasopharyngeal swab does indicate degree of mild to severe symptoms. It was found that those with severe symptoms had 60 times a higher viral load than those with mild symptoms.
