For those still using schools whilst at work as most of our jobs involve unsociable hours what provision is there outside of school hours?

"Mine was offering childcare to 6pm "

I suppose your work has to accommodate you around that then.

Yes I'm personally not using it as my other half is working from home anyway, but some of my colleagues have had to have shift changes.

I'm guessing there would be a presumption you already have a solution for this as it would have existed before they closed the schools? I'm sure there may be a few who can't now use whatever option they used to have before this crisis but the governement hasve provided a solution to the issue of closing the schools, I'm sure they can't fix everything unfortunately.

Most people would likely rely on friends or relatives which they can't now. Employers will mostly be willing to adjust peoples shifts to work around this anyway. I don't think he was suggesting the government should fix it

Outside of normal school hours I’m sure it’s difficult to get any sort of child care but my experience is that swapping shifts is the best option.
