Im sure they will be earning a nice tidy sum and wonder how much the ones on bank shifts will be taking taking home....
Whilst millions are being put into financial crisis which will cause major stress and mental issues going forward....
Enough now for me as im so bored of how this is all going....

My relative who's a critical care nurse looking after covid patients without the proper ppe (personal protective equipment) isn't particularly interested in how much they're earning. They're more interested in how they're supposed to protect their own health |

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine.
We've all been effected by this.
If you don't like it don't read it.
Give people some bloody credit for doing a good job in difficult circumstances.
People are trying to do their best , we are all in uncharted territory and feeling the pinch.

can I point out that ppe stands for personal protective equipment. I wasn't advocating a pay rise although god knows they deserve it |

Mate that is bang out of order..
Maybe go and volunteer at your local hospital and see what's going on, no one is walking about going 'kerching' with the extra hours in the conditions and often without the correct ppe to safely do the job..
Shameful thing to say.. |

Love the fact that a nurse, in a non explicit pose, is number 1 fabbed picture now.
While we remember the heroes, let's remember the villains too. Sports direct wanted to stay open as they are 'essential workers' Bollocks. Their distribution centres are still open, with no social distance rules too. If Mike Ashley gets the virus it would be Karma kicking him in the nuts.
Stay safe, stay at home, see you on the other side |

I don't think they actually care what they are earning and I'm sure a huge amount would rather be safe at home getting 80% wage for staying in.
They are doing over and above their job to help the sick and dying and frankly they deserve every penny they get and some
I have 4 family members with the virus atm and my next door neighbours son in law has become very ill too. Thank god for the wonderful free NHS for doing all they can with the current resources in a very, very awful situation! |

Let's no drag politics into this. Oh by the way good old Tony Blair sold most of our hospitals to his mate and backer Richard Branson, still costing the NHS over 600 million a year in rents. But labour voter don't want to hear that. |

The support we got in the last few weeks from the general public has been great!! From posters in the house windows that you can see while walking to work, free meals/drinks, free parking etc.
My question is what's going to happen after the pandemic is over?? Will people change their behaviour?? Will A&E be again full on the weekend alcohol related? Will families start supporting their elderly? Will you go firts to your gp or A&E? How is it possible to dump your mother in A&E so you can go to Spain? Why don't people bring clothes and toiletries for their love ones? How can you sit by your mother's bed and do nothing and expect staff to assist with eating and drinking??? Why refuse to discharge your mother/father into a Nursing home because you don't like the room view, blocking a hospital bed for weeks/ months...
Shall I continue...??? |

NHS workers and supermarket staff that have to stand infront of the many selfish and ignorant members of the public with a me first attitude all deserve a huge amount of respect. Lets just hope that when we come out of this terrible time people remember who kept them well and who kept them fed and treat them with a degree of respect that they didnt before. Everyone keep well and everyone keep safe and keep an eye out for each other not just now but always. |
