Spoke to the driver of our refuse truck today and he tells that tonnage collected yesterday and today is up by 35% than on normal days, Also that whilst tipping at the local landfill site noticed substantial amounts of food still in original unopened packaging.
Stupid panic buyers with more money than sense. |

They will be donating canned goods to food banks in a few months and expecting a pat on the back for being so generous  |

That’s disgusting and I’m a union member, so ppl realise the importance of the shit shop we are facing and as for thrown out food, just goes to show the mentality of the panic buyers ... hang yr heads in shame  |
