Just heard a Tesco ad on the radio
They are opening their stores for elderly and vulnerable people at designated times
We know that
We know thats a really good idea
But
It doesnt include the small Tesco metro/ express stores. Surely these are the ones the vulnerable people need the most? Because they are small, more personal and local
The big supermarkets are set to make a killing out of this.
Should they be doing more? |

At times like these they should be setting aside all home deliveries for the at risk category and ensuring that what they order is set aside for them not just removed as out of stock. That on top of setting aside a daily hour of shopping for the at risk people who truly can't afford to get ill, not everyone in those groups have people that will do the shopping for them. It really is profit before customers |

The supermarkets will only make money from people buying food... There will not be any shortage... We live in Italy.. On Friday I went to the shops for the 1st time in 13days..two hr queues.. Because only 10 people allowed in at once and outside we stand 1 meter apart... Filled my trolley for the next 10 days... When the milk runs out we will switch to UHT... We all have a duty to limit going out... Stay at home... Fuck your wife play with your kids.. Fuck your wife again.. Sex is at least once or twice a day during a lockdown... |
