Hi all!

Whenever I've been to the supermarket there has been nothing on the shelves, no meat, pasta, rice, even couscous is disappearing!

Does anyone know when the best time to go is to ensure I can actually get something for my tea?

nottingham

Try your local corner shop. They may not have the variety that supermarkets have but ours has been well stocked all week.

Hopefully this madness will calm down

Yes if found lots of little shops, especially polish shops and specialised culturally good shops have plenty of rice and pasta.

Oh yeah goes without saying hot and spicy. Heartbreaking thinking a little old lady somewhere cant get food because a bunch of selfish pricks think they aren't gonna survive without 600 bags of rice!

selfish people a plenty out there. Use your local shops butchers, greengrocers, farm shops who’d welcome your trade abc they are mostly fully stocked

Seems like there is real consensus on going local, would have thought they would have had less because they are smaller, guess not. Thanks guys!

If you’re in a larger urban town you have plenty of choice between the independent asian and European stores x
