Are you staying in doors if not
Jump to: Newest in thread
Currently I'm in work on a Rota basis to make sure there is someone in each office each day.
My days are Monday and Thursday, but I suspect things will have moved on by Monday and today will prove to be my last day in the office for a while. |

No. I have to pick up my son from University. Besides we should use public spaces like parks to get fresh air. We will still be using supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. Social distancing is what we need to do at the moment not complete self-isolation. |

I'm still working.... just.
Some of us cant work from home. If I dont work, I dont get paid. I'm on reduced hours already.
I'm looking for work in supermarkets etc to see me through.
There are no plans to help zero hours workers or those who privately rent and I'm both.

Still working and will be even if lock down comes. Some jobs have to be done, with most people in lockdown though those that do have to work won’t be having too much contact with others so just got to be sensible. |

We are a solitary couple, my work is solitary and I mean we see no one hardly at all so in some ways it's business as usual. Lived here now over a year and in that time we have had 2 visitors! It's how we like it and we don't visit others. Our socialising was the dance floor but that has all shut down anyways. |

Yup definately..open spaces and fresh air are a boost to the human soul..so many seem to be thinking you should not go out at all but as you say that's not the case..humans need fresh air |

from the womb and tryout to get back |
"Why?"
I'm still working and I think staying in quarantine will only prolong this virus so better just to get on with it if you get it then chances are it will only be for a few week it's only a flu like virus look how many people die each year from normal flu it's a lot more than what have died from this Corona I think it's been handled all wrong scaring people into panic buying and staying in I can understand the elderly and people with bad lungs but the rest of us should carry on as normal problem is most people nowadays haven't got good immune systems as there sat in front of a computer all the time don't go out getting dirty building there immune system to cope with viruses don't shoot me just my opinion |

Of course I am going outside; just differently and to different places than before. Fresh air and sunlight is good for both physical and mental health. The kids need to get out and active too. Now though, we will be going to open places with our bikes and balls instead of hateful soft play (woo hoo), bowling and other mass populous locations. |

This is all to make sure the bus doesn't get over whelmed. It's social distancing atm, so it's limiting how many people are in the same place at one time, you can still go out & get fresh air.
Self isolation is only for those in vulnerable groups (depleted immune systems & over 70's) & those with sickness symptoms....corona or not.
We're not at lock down yet & even then you'll get access to food & medicines.
You'll still be able to get food. Rations may be put in place to stop selfish folk stock piling & leaving nothing for others....if it's you, STOP IT!
you'll have a running nose not a bum so if you can't get toilet roll you can use water to clean yourself, most have a shower head & washing machine.
Hand sanitizer is not as effective as soap & water, gym people should be wiping equipment before & after anyway.
I'm quite glad a lot of the entertainment places have closed because it means we'll get back to realising time is what the kids crave, not hundreds spent on cinemas & bowling.
We need more time out in nature to help mental health & exercise. It's vital to us.
It will also make us re-evaluate what we need & don't and should hopefully stem excessive buying of
Non essential plastic wrapped items, we'll also be able to see exactly how bad our daily activities are on the environment & change how we operate industries & our lives.
There's dolphins in Venice canals again and co2 emissions have dropped die to limited movements & industry activities. |

"My employment simply, I haven’t been told to stay home, I’ve no symptoms as far as I know and I’m kind of in a lab by myself anyway
Snap probably cleaner in the lab too "
I went round with pure alcohol earlier and gutted the place anyone wants in here they’ve to wash their hands |

We're in the category that needs to social distance ourselves through age and health. We live by the coast so we have miles of beaches to walk on away from everybody else which makes life a lot easier in that respect but getting food is a problem or will be soon |

No because am not panicking like a lot of people on here.
I need food. I need to work. I have family that needs stuff. So I will carry on as normal. And people like you keep repeating all the crazy rubbish is the same as the panic buyers. |

I have never seen so much ethanol sprayed round the place or lab coats washed so frequently. |

We're practicing social distancing as far as possible. This depends on other people really many of whom just don't seem to understand it and everytime you take a step back move a step towards you .
As far as I know none of us under 70 gave bee advised to stay at home and I understood that even they don't need to until the weekend. |

Why is that? We went for a walk in the village yesterday and people seemed to go out of their way to invade our space. One flash of my nail varnish soon cleared them, seems they are more trans phobic that corona phobic |

You're probably right I'm afraid.
I don't know why people aren't taking any notice though |

They will eventually, people they know or family members will either get seriously ill or die then the reality of it will hit them like a sledgehammer |

I am still going out to do food shopping when I need things but not panic buying like most, also going out for a drink but you can see by our many people that are in the pub that lots are staying away but it’s about careful and trying to carry on the best we can until everywhere is made to close |

If I could afford to stay home then I would time is money!
Yep £94.50 a week won’t make much of a dent in bills
Tell me about it, seems the working class are gonna get the brunt of it again, if we dont work parliament dont get paid it's simple! |

"we should use public spaces like parks to get fresh air.
The National Trust are opening up the grounds of all their properties to everyone for free. "
Yes I saw that and my first thought was they need sales to keep places open and cover huge running costs.
Then it was visions of crowds gathering at places that now otherwise have become out priced except for foreign tourists and those who have membership. |

Why shouldn’t I go outside???
This is still a free country as far as I’m aware.
If you don’t want to go out - by all means don’t.
But stop telling ME what I should or shouldn’t do.
Anyone who does can kiss my big hairy ass!!!!

Keep up at the back
It's the ones who are incubating it for 2 weeks without showing symptoms who are spreading it around. |
