Anyone seen the picture of the old man doing the rounds with his shopping list surrounded by empty shelves.
I would give that man anything from my food cupboards right now.
What a sad world we live in. Selfish panic buyers.
Check on the elderly people where it’s safe to do so. |

"We went on Sunday and it was carnage, but this is hardwired into us to panic.
Shops should and could have stopped it as they must of known it was going to happen."
Definitely
So glad they’re opening just for the elderly for an hour. I’m wondering are we allowed to accompany them? I always take my mum to tescos. |

They should have taken the big trolleys out of use. Baskets for all and only small trolleys for the elderly, mums and infirmed.
Probably still get some persistant shoppers load up car and go back for more but it would deter most when they realise the que got bigger in the meantime.

One of the supermarkets started limiting and when the morons decided to go back for more were stopped by security. |

here in Ireland most of the big supermarkets have given the first hour or two in the morning over to the elderly so they can do their shopping in peace |

I'm a thick skinned bloke, yet seeing what you've just described has had me fighting back tears. I went into town yesterday morning, and was shocked at the large number of elderly people trying to get basic bits and pieces. A lot were alone and disabled or infirm. It was heart breaking. |
