Then. Immunosuppression tablets and pre existing health problems now mean today i start day 1 of 14 possibly more. Being at a higher risk means I could be put under similar lockdown as the over 70's.. holy f**k!!!

I also take immunosuppressants. Sorry to break this to you, but it's 12wks, not 14 days. Buckle up...

If people follow the guidance the transmission rate should reduce so it may not be "rife " ... incidence in China is now greatly reduced

I am not down beat about it. It was inevitable that the isolation would happen. Still a shock to system. Kids cant visit or see me for the duration obviously.. thats the soul destroying bit.

No isolation here, going to work aa normal, things are definitely quieter en route.

I hope that you all have what you need to self isolate and stay well. I'm sure it won't be long before many of us are doing it.

Surely they’ll give you a prescription! This does concern me as my child has meds she absolutely can’t do without.

Love self isolation, personally can't wait. As long as I've cat fud and cat litter, I don't necessarily need to go out now. Get lots done as I'm not distracted to go out.

That’s what I am doing self isolating for 3 days then going out for walk around the block to get essentials- if anyone calls me selfish then fook them. We don’t have 14 days of food and no local friends and soon loads will be self isolating

Yes. I suspect I'll be ok, but if I lost access to my medication I'd quickly get very ill, including loss of immune system.

How do people get on who take immune suppressant drugs and have children? There are quite a few flaws to these plans.

I’m immunosuppressive and I work in a school. Just get on with it but I tend to pick up bugs more than most.

Absolutely. I keep myself isolated, and my son brings home a fresh set of germs from school daily.

My deterioration would be slow without my medication, but in the event of a complete loss I'd eventually die. In the meantime my immune system would fuck off first

Best of luck OP!

I'm semi isolating due to health issues but luckily I can mostly work from home so it's only my second job that I'll be missing the income from. I'm not convinced I am in higher danger than others but my hospital said it would be "sensible" if I work from home.

I hope things settle down soon!
