Probably the wrong place to ask this as you’re all obviously horny buggers.

Has anyone found something that can help with libido.

I’ve noticed as I’ve got older that I often don’t feel in the mood.

No obvious health problems and I’m not depressed. I do take ADHD meds but it’s something I noticed before taking these.

I welcome people thoughts and suggestions

It might be a drop in testosterone levels. You can pay to get tested. It's not something the NHS will usually help with unfortunately

I asked my doctor to test this and he said it came back normal

Get a full blood panel done and it should identify what might be the matter. As someone that has used PEDs in the past my libido was affected by the increased testosterone levels, but not in a good way. Found that my SHBG was too high, treated that and got my libido back.

Also the other obvious major ones to consider are cardio and strength based workouts, good sleep, hydration (with plenty of vitamins and minerals) and a healthy diet, sounds cliche but it is very very effective.

Oh and lay off the wanking for a bit lol

Interesting, I’m fairly fit I do a verity of strength and cardio training.

I’ve never used any additional chemical help for training.

Interesting, I’m fairly fit I do a verity of strength and cardio training.

I would recommend Medichecks. You can get a full blood panel there, a lot of things can affect libido but it will very likely be down to either SHBG, Low free testosterone or high estrogen.

Many think that the additional chemical help makes it easier...but when you have all this to deal with you realise that natural is the easiest way by miles haha.

Have you ever looked in to ashwagandha, Indian ginseng. It’s beneficial for supporting dopamine functions so also recommended for people with ADHD and sleep disorders. Check for contraindications if you’re already on meds.

My mate asked the docs for testerone unless you have a high pitch voice or man boobs they will see you are within normal range

Unfortunately father time waits for no man.

You look in pretty decent shape, certainly not over weight. If you are doing cardio and strength training that's as much as you can do, naturally anyway.

Might be worth a test for any other problem hiding away. There are a number of issues that can cause a drop in desire or testosterone.

I wouldn't worry too much about it for now though, it's just part of aging with grace, or disgrace in my case

Your meds are likely to blame, adderal, concerta ect are basically Amphetamine creating a loss of appetite and loss of sex drive.

It sounds to me more like your tastes may have shifted but you haven’t given space to explore what that might mean for you. Desire is fickle and we often need the right thing to really fire us up. When we’re young that’s not typically the case for a lot of us and especially for men but as we grow up, we do get more specific in our wants and desires

This is an interesting possibility, I have been thinking around these lines lately.

Although I’m not so sure my desires have changed just everything else.

Not sure really. I've always needed it, thought about it all day every day since about 16. Still wake up with a morning glory, still have a morning wank, (when working from home) afternoon wank, and shower night time special. Sometimes I even light the candles, i don'treally. It didn't change much when married, that said when I stopped playing rugby, my drive did slow for a bit. So exercise could be helpful, I chop Wood for few hours every day. Right as rain. Maybe try some axe work

Causes can fall into three categories:

Pharmacological, Hormonal, Cardiovascular.

Medications are a very common cause.

Anything that can alter hormonal levels (thyroid).

Have you had your prostate checked?

Any long term cardiovascular issues?

Psychological, expectation can make things worse. If you are aware of it and it’s causing frustration, this can possibly exacerbate the issue.

It sounds like you are talking to your GP, and that’s great.

I hope you are able to find a solution soon and make a full recovery.

Prostate, at my age every time I go to the doctors someone sticks a finger up my arse

No cardio issues, I’m relatively fit and have a quite a low heart rate. That has increased a bit with ADHD meds but still quite low.

As mentioned give medichecks a shot to get your bloods done.

I had to chase my gp up to talk about my results as they don’t bother if you’re within range.

They don’t take into account that you may have had higher levels previously and actually be mid range is now a drop.

Is there issues at work/home that could be causing stress as cortisol has a massive effect on test levels.

A few things I’d always recommend is making sure you’re getting plenty of good sleep, as much sunshine as possible(vit d) if needed, lots of good fats in your diet too

We take Maca root with Ashwanga, this pushes our libido through the roof. Once we've finished a batch we usually stop for a while to give our bodies a break and keep the effect going when we restart it.

Not what you may want to hear but we also found that cutting down on meat helps alot to.

Constantly being on here doesn't help..Take a break reconnect with family and friends take in some culture, fine food and wine and recharge.

Keep fit mentally as well as physically.
