Personally I would ask a GP as opposed to drinking water but hey ...

When you are ill nature gives you these symptoms to make you rest and heal. You do more harm than good trying to push past it and do more.

Fresh air and keeping hydrated won't do any harm but forcing yourself to go walking and do strenuous exercise might.

You just described my experience to a tee !

The light- headedness was more like Vertico and very debilitating!

Took about 4/6 weeks in total- worst thing was the constant headaches!

Lots of people have had it here in Gran Canaria so it’s very transmissible!

Absolutely it can be very dangerous exercising when unwell even a cold can cause an enlarged heart and major issues.

But I'm all for fresh air and exercise in fact we are just recovering from this bloody lurgy and heading out for a 5mile walk tomorrow.

Perhaps flu?

A lot of viral infections can affect us for extended periods, leaving us wiped out. The only thing we can individually test for is Covid, which will only show whilst infectious

You’re not alone dude, I had what sounded like the same thing over December into early January then had a resurgence when I thought it was gone and I’m only just really over it.

What did you expect the Dr to do? There are multiple seasonal viruses and all you can do is manage the symptoms. For the most part that is rest, paracetamol and hydration.

The dizziness could be attributable to your BP, so he has helped.

east coast.

It's called the flu, visit a chemist and say to the assistant 'I think I've got the flu"

They'll sort you out.

No need to thank me.

Or you could just wear a face cloth and wander about letting normal folk laugh at you.

Kind of like how I've worn a mask while in any enclosed public venue for the last five years? I do get the occasional enquiring glance, though mostly only from fuckwits. What I don't get is continuous infections. It's not 100% perfection - 18 months ago I had a business meeting where I very rashly unmasked, then 2 days later found myself with covid, which has left me with background problems of an auto immune disease (which I might well have had for many years, but only triggered into diagnosable levels of activity after I got covid). I keep reading in these forums about all the people with "this lurgy that's been going on for weeks" and "it's like a dizziness that won't go away" and "never felt so ill in my life". Wouldn't you people rather not be ill? Or even just less ill? What if I told you that there's this One Weird Trick, that They Don't Want You To Know About... to cut your number of sick days by 90%?

And don't worry about the "normal" people laughing at you, because they're the ones spending so much time being ill that they don't actually get much chance to laugh any more...

And you, supposedly, would be one of the normal folks?

It's probably HMPV virus like I've had since Christmas, I've had Covid 3 times but this virus is evil compared to Covid.

Hospitals are almost at breaking point because of it but unlike Covid it's being played down even though it can kill 1 in 50 people making it far more dangerous than Covid, type in UK HMPV virus epidemic in Google to find out more.

I've been told it could be another 6 weeks before it's effect wear off and even then like Covid it can cause long term damage, children elderly and people with breathing problems are at moat risk from the virus.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

It’s a virus which has been around for decades. Very infectious but the population has already some degree of immunity against it. The risk of it of causing a pandemic like covid are minimal.

Plus, don’t venture in diagnoses by yourself
