Had mine done back in the 90's for medical reasons, was knocked out for it.
Lot's of stitches and made my peen very sensitive for a few weeks which is extremely uncomfortable with stitches in.

If I'm to have it done then it will be private, you get a choice, obviously if needed for medical reasons which it will be I'm going to go for the best option which seems to be staples and awake. For now though creams from the doctor and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice tho |

Think long and hard about why you want it done.
I had mine done for medical reasons as it was picked up during the Army medical.
If you have no issue at the moment leave as is. Post op is not a nice experience. |

I asked a doctor friend of ours what he recommended, he just said it was a matter of personal preference and it made no difference to him as ‘it was no skin off his nose’ ! |

Recently had mine done for medical reasons. Went private as I have health insurance through work. Knocked out and stitches was all I was offered. Have to agree with a previous poster that during healing period night tome erections were sore and initially scary as felt like it was all going to come undone. 6 weeks post op and everything back in working order and much better than the tight foreskin. If you need it done don't put it off. Get it done and know it will get better. |

Had mine done 6 years ago under general anesthetic due to extremely painful phimosis.
Recovery for me felt more like 3 months than the 6 weeks they said. Used to wear boxers and sleep nude but found anything rubbing too sensitive (painful not pleasurable) so switched entirely to briefs to minimise any accidental rubbing and no longer sleep commando. I had to stop using fab and porn while recovering as any erection painfully pulled at the stitches and healing area.

I was fully awake but the anaesthetic never really kicked in I felt the surgeons first cut and nearly jumped off the bed
He added more and waited 10 mins then started again saying if it was still sore he would need to stitch me up bring me back and knock me out
I though am here now so let’s get it done

Did t have a cannula but a number of injections around my penis to numb it. He did put a screen up so I couldn't see but moved it out of the way so I could see what it looked like before it was bandaged up.

First done when was 4ish. Had to be redone or sculpted a few years ago. Again medical stuff.

Wow had mine done about 6 months ago on the private through nhs,was simple knock me out process.
I may be fortunate but I didn’t have any real pain but did experience complications with a couple of stitches not dissolving. This caused infection but with cream it sorted itself out, eventually pulled stitches out myself.
I do think you may be over thinking the recovery though with the photos etc, the more you fiddle with it the longer it’s gonna take… |
