Yes matt hancock is a twat, a lying one at that, everything was overblown to enforce lockdowns which caused more harm than good, this is all proved in the messages him and boris were sending eachother in the whatsapp group that was used as evidence in the enquiry.

For vaccine efficency there is quite a lot data on that comparing comparable populations. Isolation is a tricky one because it does really stop people catching covid because everyone pretty much got in the end. Isolatings main aims were one stopping everyone catching it at the same time to stop it overwhelming the health services and simply buying time to develop a vaccine. If you look at comparable countries that locked down and one that didn't you can see the effect. Masks you will never get absolute numbers but it is simple basic physics that tells you if you wear a mask you will spread an airborne disease less.
