Public Enquiry - To be or not to be...

"If you remember there were calls to hold a public enquiry into the handling of the pandemic; maybe even learn some lessons. But events take over and that no longer seems on the agenda. Typical!"
I know! Putin is so fucking inconsiderate! |

"The cynic in me thinks it was always going to be after BoJo & co left so they can avoid the consequences. "
There will be no consequences. Shameful but just realistic. However, would be useful as I'm sure there are things can be learned for the next one. Soxeypox |

Whether they are acted on will rather depend on whether we still have a bunch of crooks in charge at that point. |

Well if it's on YouTube and a factual; who can argue with that? "
YouTube has a stringent policy of only allowing fact checked information onto it, which is how I know it's safe to gargle with bleach and how I learned that Australia is a fictional country made up by "them" to stop us discovering the truth about the hollow moon |

It would be obscene for us to not learn what we can from this, after so many thousands of lives lost and millions of us affected by this for years to come. |

Soxeypox most of the life’s lost were down to ridiculous lockdowns and the nhs sending the elderly back to care homes untested when they needed hospital treatment

Not sure we need an expensive enquiry at all. When was the last time we handled an international pandemic… - oh yes, we haven’t. So I’m sure (I know) some things went wrong!!
Remember everyone was in a massive flap and panic at the beginning of lockdown 1.
If anything we should learn that statistical models are not to be relied on. Every single one was wrong as they contained assumptions which proved to be false. |

YouTube, a quality purveyor of science fact… always ensure you get a second piece of evidence to back up your initial YouTube perusal, I recommend Facebook. Loads of qualified individuals on there |

What's that thing when you know you're right and everyone else is wrong? |

Most of the indiscretions by this fucked up administration are just put under a "D" notice. This is supposed to be used for terrorism purposes, but they use it for all their perverted behaviours. Try and check out a children's home where institutional child abuse has been happening, you cannot access the information for the next 40 years, if they are not stealing they are abusing children and thier positions of power. Google, Charles Lynton, cottaging offence in the 1980's, see whose middle names they belong to, and decide for yourself how they are protected from prosecution by the law that they themselves make. The law makers are the law breakers. I will be really annoyed if this is deleted by the fab establishment, who shouldn't be a decision maker, but impartial! |

They'll spend millions on a public enquiry when all they really have to do is release the normal statement "Lessons Will Be Learnt " and then everyone will forget all about it and that's the 100% reason behind a public enquiry !!! the facade of looking like they are doing something |

Totally agree. Everyone is so quick to blame and pass the buck.
So many become "experts" in pandemics overnight.
Of course lesrn lessons, i work within projects thats just the norm.
I have no afiliation with any poligical party, i have no time for any of them.
Its so easy to say they lined pockets of mates, but it was needed, the very same people would soon be whinging if the government went to tender and took to long, just like people moaned we had to get rid of PPE. (Most PPE has best before dates). But who would moan if we had none?
Of course its sad people died, goes without saying, but clearly in a situation like covid (whether you believe its severity or not) there will never be a one solution fits all. |

I was actually joking but ivermectin has been proved many many times not to work and the side effects are not good. When you think about how it works as dewormer you wouldn't want to take a lot of it. |
