Maybe the rules are different for us flying in from Germany.
We flew into Alicante last week and didn't see anyone being checked and there was a UK flight in the baggage hall at the same time as us.
The desks where they used to check paperwork have now gone. |

We went a few weeks ago. We passed through this small area at the airport lined on either side by people in medical scrubs and masks, sat at desks. I assume they were there to do the spot checks but no one on our flight was pulled out. |

Germany has different rules to the UK. UK is now considered a third country so covid checks still in place. My covid paperwork wasn't checked either way about 6 weeks ago but my cousin and his partner were checked about a month ago. |

"We flew into Malaga yesterday and no checks at all!
Thanks!
I'm flying into Malaga. Double vaccinated but not boosted."
I AM boosted but the NHS haven’t updated my records so can’t prove it. Had to do a swab. There was a man on the entry door to Bilbao airport 2 weeks ago checking everyone’s and scanning the QR codes. |

You need to make sure you have everything they require otherwise you run the risk of not being able to enter. We were not checked at all when we went in June But we know people that went last week and were so it seems to be random checks. Another thing is when we took out travel insurance we had to tick that we had been fully vaccinated so if you haven't then you need to make sure your travel insurance will pay if you get covid and need treatment while you're out there. |

Another consideration is that infection levels and Covid hospital admissions are markedly up in the UK. Other countries may focus on such indicators, to renew their focus on people from here.
Hope you have a lovely trip and successful entry! |

"Flew to Spain two weeks ago. They checked everybody for proof of vaccination."
It does seem to be very hit-and-miss and I think it depends on which airport you go into. I think anybody going into Spain needs to be aware of the travel requirements as you can be asked just because some people aren't doesn't mean you won't be. |
