But this is the worst I've felt in such a long time. My immune system is usually on point. I've dodged COVID all the way through and now I think it's my turn. It's so grim! I had some Capri sun and it just tasted like metal. Two days ago when it was on it's way I felt like I had parkinson's I was stood up shaking my piss everywhere I was so cold. Now my eyeballs feel like they're Steve buschemi's and my nose clogs then drips a right thick amount into my throat I can't cough or swallow it out when I'm laying down trying to sleep.

I'm not dead so can't complain but yeah thought it share the pleasantries with you all.

I also have to work still as I'm self.employed and already took a week off prior to spend time with the kids

That sounds quite vile

Understand the money situation but be kind to others and please wear a mask when out the house?

I'm still recovering from my second round of covid 4 weeks on, it hits some harder than others.

Get well soon!

Actually that's not true. Government guidance/advise is to still avoid being with other for 5 days after testing positive, stay at home etc - ie the first period when most infectious. It's not a requirement but it is suggested in order to protect others.

But OP I do hope you feel better soon. Hells had it a month or so ago and took four weeks to shake it off. She was in agony for about 10 days as morphed into a sinus infection and affected whole face/head. Needed lots of medication including two antibiotics, various treatment for sinus etc. And that was after having three jabs.

As you said advised it not mandatory no more so the OP can go to work etc not everyone can afford to be of work and with the energy bills going through the roof I expect alot of people will not take the advice

Hells stayed at home for 6 days after testing positive but yep I know many will not which is a real shame. I would hope people might at least for a few days when symptims are raging. And as for shopping and other non-work things really think people can avoid that for a few days. There is a reason it is still advised even if not mandatory.

I notice none of those telling you to stay at home have offered to send you donations to cover your lost earnings.

My advice would be go out and earn some money. After all, anyone who is vaccinated who catches COVID-19 from you has nothing to worry about because the vaccines work.

Omg....I'm so lucky with my respiratory system but I know others with asthma, regular chest infections and sinus issues can really tank with COVID.

Hopefully she is on the mend. I threw a load of paracetamol and ibuprofen at it at the correct dosage and stayed in bed for 4 days. I live alone so I had to pop to the corner shops with a mask at night and kept my distance. I was too weak to stand for long periods cooking and to eat a full meal. My mom (a nurse) used to give me Original Lucozade when I was ill as a child so I chugged a load of that and ate snacks instead. I'm triply jabbed (because I have to travel overseas for family) and I take a multivitamin and a high dose of iron, magnesium and vitamin B complex, C and D. I swim, walk and/or cycle around 7 hours a week to keep my blood pumping, activate my lungs and activate my muscles.

No you are not grasping it. He quoted some figures for airport arivals not that long into the pandemic from a PHE report. He is not very bright. He was actually talking about false negatives. At the time they were considering testing every traveller that came in to the country on arrival and it only picked up 7% of people who actually had covid, not false positives or negatives. I.e it didn't detect 93% of people who actually had covid. This was reduced to 12% if retested 5 days later. These were the rapid tests that were available at the time, not quite the same as the LFTs that came about later.

Ahahahahahaha what a clown world we do live in. What a load of nonsense.

It didn't work the 1st 3 times so go get a 4th. Don't worry about vaccine fatigue that rocks your immune system making it easier to catch. Lasts about 10 weeks but you're walking a tight rope for 2 weeks as your immune system is all over the place. Book the 5th one in whilst you're there I'd say. Maybe the 6th too.

Vitamin D, iron, zinc, healthy food and exercise. Unvaccinated had covid for 2 days and only knew cos I had sweats one evening. Every friend I know had worse reactions to the jab and even worse reactions from covid. Naturally boosting your immune system is always far better.

Steroids (Pred) and Contac 4000, along with strepsils and saline rinses.

Prednisolone is a steroid that prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Prednisolone is used to treat many different inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, allergic disorders, gland (endocrine) disorders

I caught it Just before coming home from a holiday. I felt exhausted and kept falling asleep. Nothing tasted right. Tested negative but got a mask to travel. Tested again still negative got home felt like a heavy summer cold sneezing running nose the works. And finally Teste positive. Fortunately a mild dose and a few days rest but I would not wish this on anyone. People think this is over its not. I don't think we need to lock down but we should not be taking this lightly.
