The new UKHSA [uk health security agency] report is out for week nine,
394 non vaccinated persons died in weeks 5-8.
Compared to 3,527 fully vaccinated who died during the same time.
That means during that period the non vaccinated accounts for only 10% of deaths
Therefore those vaccinated account for 90% of deaths. You can all access the government report via Google, interesting ready |

Before comparing figures like for like, remember that unvaccinated people account for about 10% of the population, and 90% vaccinated.
So any unvaxxed figures need to be upscaled
Plus I think the unvaxxed are higher proportion younger and 'fit and healthy' whereas all the people with health and immunity complications are in the vaxxed percentage |

So a very quick look at the figures as presented in the opening post shows similar numbers of deaths of young, fit and healthy people when compared to oap and immuno compromised and people with health complications |

Are you a politician OP? It seems you have great ability to read/present the figures, in a way which you want them portraied. As others have said, comparing 'like for like,' gives you no indication of the demographic make-up of those deaths.

I think better granularity of what and when "fully vaccinated" actually means is necessary, alongside how much of both groups of the population has acquired a natural immune response from earlier infections are needed.
Comparing broad brush "vaccinated" with "unvaccinated" I'd suggest is no longer very meaningful (if it ever was in the first instance). People's Behaviours probably play a bigger part in things now than vax status. Along with when the vax was given as we know it tapers off quite quickly. |

Back of fag packet let’s assume 50 million adults in UK. Of them 90% vaccinated and 10% unvaccinated.
5 million unvaccinated with 394 deaths in that week = 0.0078%
45 million vaccinated with 3527 deaths in that week = 0.0070%
Those proportions look pretty close.
How do they compare to weeks 1-8? |

Now try again, using those figures as percentages relative to the vaccinated and unvaccinated populations of the UK.

Those 394 deaths represent 0.007% of the unvaccinated population.
3527 deaths represents 0.005% of the vaccinated population.
Incidence of deaths remains higher in the unvaccinated population.

What number of vaccinated people did not die (as a percentage) take that and compare with the percentage of people who were not vaccinated and didn’t die. At the moment you aren’t comparing like for like, you have two different sets of datum  |
