I'd have to ask, as I don't talk to all my friends and family all the time.
All of my children, their partners and my grandchildren have had it.
People rarely post on Facebook that they haven't had it, and I don't speak to anyone on the phone etc. |

Me Though I was surrounded by positive family members recently during which time I did spend 2 days with a mild respiratory virus of some sort. My tests always negative for Covid. Maybe I did inhale a few particles but my vaccine primed immune system acted so fast it never got to LFT detectable levels? |

I know quite alot who have not got tested or caught covid. Or even seasonal cold or flus.
What I do know is 90% of the people I know who have tested positive, they have had no symptoms. Nothing! Not even a runny nose or sneezing. The other 10% who tested positive, they said it was no different to the cold, flu they've had in previous years apart from one who has pneumonia and covid together and was in hospital for two days. |

Had a different issue and needed a chest X-ray. Apparently I must have had it as they could see the typical covid damage to my lungs. Don’t know exactly when, just know it must have been between that X-ray and my last one. |

You have to remember that a large percentage of people are asymptotic, so whilst I don't believe I've had it, it's entirely possible I had it and never knew. |

Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)
Unless you test every day, it's possible to have it without knowing.
Even if you tested every day, if the viral load is small enough then a test might not detect it.
I'm sure a few years down the line they will discover why some are more prone than others to this disease.
It could be a genetic feature or something hormonal that makes others more prone.

Who can really know. Considering a long list of symptoms issues etc have been said to be caused by covid and could also very possibly be linked to non covid related issues it’s impossible to know, especially adding the oh you’ve got plague even if you don’t know it. You just need to be tested. FACT of the matter being the tests themselves have been shown to have major issues. Contamination, false positives false negatives then even the simple adjustment of threshold cycles the test are spun at which can show “illness” in a stone.
In regards to the op’s question this one rarely gets seasonal “illnesses”. |

I believe that this testing is the whole problem of everything...not accurate at all, but that's apparently the new normal,to test,in the normal world it's winter and in February,as getting to the end of the winter, our natural resistance might be a bit low,due to a low vitamin D...so just a flu or cold like usual is pretty normal, I've never tested and also not been ill for years, so stop testing!! If you don't feel well, just stay home and if it's bad go see your GP and he will prescribe you something... wasn't that how it used to be? Or is a stick in your head gonna tell you?..just saying..stay healthy by eating good and go out, exercise |

I've certainly not had it.
My immediate family (my mother, sister, brother-in-law and nephew) have not had it.
I also have 28 what I would term as 'close' colleagues and none of those have had it either (or had to isolate cos of being exposed).
Of course these people know of others who have. But, so far, no. Not directly had it themselves and any tests came back negative. |

I know many people that have had covid, including my ex husband who now has permanent lung scarring. In my family, my son's girlfriend and her entire family, my older son had at least half the people in his office with it, my brother and his partner have had it. Two of my friends, my fuck buddy,,my next door neighbour and several people I work with. How people say that they don't know anyone that's caught covid puzzles me. Do they live on a remote island or do they work from home and not have many contacts?
At this point in time I've not had Covid. Triple jabbed, been cautious and been lucky. |

As said before nobody in our household has had it, I am guessing by pure luck as we have work throughout and outside of the lockdown been out and about. Having been part of the ONS survey means we have been regularly tested and had the blood test which reports back if you have antibodies and if they are through covid infection or vaccination.
A few people have had mild symptoms at work and the only near death in work we had was somebody who had a reaction to the jab which put them in hospital for months but thankfully they survived although it was touch and go for a while. |

I know of more people who haven't tested positive than have. That's not to say they've not had it at some point though. |
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)
I know more people who haven't had covid *since testing has been available* than people who have had it. Also of the people I know who have tested positive quite a few of them have tested positive more than once |

Myself and our youngest hasn't had it, despite hubster and eldest having it. We all isolated but didn't do anything differently in our own home (Part of ONS survey and are tested every four weeks).
My Mam.
My sister who works in a care home and has had quite a few Covid cases, both with staff and residents. |

My partner has never had it. She's the only one I know. And she runs the local covid and respiratory unit.
She has a number of other conditions that are quite rare. So we always joke she'll never catch it because it's just not exotic enough. |

Considering I went through chemo the beginning of covid lockdown 2020 my immune system was shot but I'm lucky to have not had it as yet.Always testing always negative but I always spare a thought for those unlucky who have. |

We are on our second time at the moment, although it is no worse than a heavy cold this time round. Most of our family have had it now but not all. |

Found out through my mum that my sister has now caught it and has said that she just feels like she got a cold. She works in an office for a hospital and said that some of the girls in the office have had it so that's probably how she caught it. She's always had a very blasé attitude towards it too. Always of the opinion that she's fine and won't catch it. She won't be saying that now |

70-80% of vaxxed friends n workmates got COVID some really bad!
Unvaxxed friends n family nothing more than sniffles bar one or two! |

As a counterpoint to this probably about 80 to 90% of people know have had covid, was only about 20% til September 2021. Probably about 10% have had a more than once and 4 people I know have had it 3 times. I don't know that many unvaccinated people probably about 30 but I only know one that has knowingly had covid. The rest were ill enough to test for covid as most didn't test before they got ill. |

Yes this is true as when my son had it he was cooking for me and we ate at the table together. As it is so highly contagious I don't see how I didn't catch it. |

I know loads that haven’t caught it
Personally I worked consistently through it mixing with at least 50 different people a week the entire time had my 3rd jab and went down with it 5 days later. Exactly the same for my OH. This was last month
Is that a coincidence ? Who knows ? But still others I work with haven’t had it |

Unless you had an antigen test to show which antibodies you have then your more like to be one of the 1000’s of people who are asymptomatic with it |

I don't know many now that haven't had it which is totally different to last year!
tbh we all WILL get it at some point and getting it now whilst its the Omicron BA1/2 variant is probably the best thing as its really mild compared to the previous variants that were circulating - and its been shown that 2/3 jabs plus an Omicron infection gives you a really high level of antibodies, which hopefully should protect against other variants that might come along.
Its called learning to live with Covid. |

I have never had it,
never been furloughed,
never been offered proper sick pay (SSP is an insult)
Had all my jabs
Will not be welcomed at work if I do get it
Will get sacked when Boris ends all restrictions.
So, as you can see. I can't afford to get it. |
