Should the Queen self-isolate
Jump to: Newest in thread
..if this requirement is ended this week?
Sounds like she is going to continue working (perhaps in isolation?).
Given the polarised response to the ending of the self-isolation requirement, what the Queen does could raise interesting questions in this ongoing debate. |

"The requirement to isolate isn't ending, the legal requirement to isolate is ending"
If she’s going to isolate at Windsor Castle is the legality of the requirement a moat point? |

She's been working remotely since she had contact with Prince Charles, so when they say she'll carry on, they'll mean remotely. That's assuming she's well enough to do so. It'll be Zoom Queen, not the Queen zooming off out to shake hands. |

I don't think there should be any legal requirement to self insolate. Controversial opinion I know. The need to self isolate from a legal standpoint to apply to millions of people hasn't never been done before COVID as far as I am aware. Common sense should apply. If you are ill, be advised to stay in. We need to return to normality. We have had COVID policies for 2 years now. This can't go on forever. |

Why? It's not like she can be arrested.
Why throw an old woman under the bus just because others suffered? |

Nothing against the Queen (hope she recovers quickly) but you gotta say this is a great distraction from her bailing out Andrew to the tune of £millions so he can avoid a trial. Nice to know money can buy you “innocence”. |

When at least 30% carried on as normal while knowingly having and shedding virus, even while it is illegal.
it's great to see good old British Bulldog common sense can again be be trusted upon. Was there any need to make it illegal in the first place, given such commin sense in the population? |

"Yes. She should follow decent protocol and not put others at risk
Light duties wtf does she do anyway cut the odd ribbon or 2 yes she should self isolate at rule on this still in place."
The Queen works in her office, at Windsor, most days, reading documents from UK government and Commonwealth representatives and responding accordingly. There aren't many people her age still working. |

If Boris and half his cabinet can flaunt the rules I'm sure the Queen should be allowed if they were in place.
Getting on for an 100 I'm hoping she gets through it as she isn't in best of health, did the NHS care when they knew 100's of pensioners in care homes had covid no so why on earth would we want our queen a frail old lady to isolate on her own...it would be crazy to suggest she did. |

Think as a single mum living in a council house with a half wit son always subbing money to pay off his debts she will find it difficult.
Hope she gets well soon and back to work as and when she feels fit.

"Why is no one asking if Charles tried to takeover and be King by bringing the infection home to the Queen?
Because Monday people aren’t nutcases "
Because Charles isn't the one to look out for. I'd be more looking atbthe person who has just been told she'd become Queen when Charlie takes over.
That's where my suspicions lay.. |

" oh money has always been able to buy a not guilty verdict or if your really unlucky a nice short sentence in a comfy open prison so you can still go about your buisness during the day
