Who’s booked to go abroad
Jump to: Newest in thread
I'm going to Egypt in March. I was in The Gambia in December and Tenerife in September. The year before I had Turkey and Tenerife. I was in Vietnam March 2020. I have been lucky to squeeze in a few holidays despite the pandemic. |

Hoping to go to Argentina in April! "
Grand canyon is breathtaking you'll love it. Get a helicopter ride worth every penny. |

Wasn't lucky enough to book holidays - I lost two jobs due to lockdowns.
One I found to replace it - I couldn't take Sundays off. Ever.
Booked flights for a city break in a different country. Self isolation laws there changed 5 days before our flights.
You had to self isolate for 14 days upon arrival. No matter how many tests you took and how negative they were.
Paid to reschedule the flights.
As that date approached - flight dates got post poned and more restrictions kicked in.
Got part of my money back for the flights. Yay.
Booked flights for my mum and sister to come visit us instead.
Mum had to go get her second jab to be able to travel.
A week later she wasn't able too walk any more as the second shot flared up her arthritis to the point where pain is unbearable.
She couldn't come as she wasn't well enough to travel.
Shes 50 (not my birth mom).
No flights or holidays booked for us and we will not be booking anything again until all restrictions are scrapped in more countries.

The one that became a fireball and crashed into the Canyon a few years ago with British travellers on board was not such good value |

"Off to Spain on 26th February.
Both of us just tested positive for Covid.
"
That sucks (not in a good way) but on the plus side you will be all clear by end of Feb AND have confidence you won’t miss your holiday as won’t catch again so quickly! Silver lining. |

Do you need a negative LFT to get into Spain?"

Tested positive via PCR on 10th, locked out of site issuing Covid certificate for 14 days.
Hopefully, on 24th get Covid certificate, complete Spanish locator form, get QR code and jump on plane 26th, easy....well maybe.
Wouldn't wish Covid on anyone, feel like I've been hit by a truck.
Isolation may end if I test negative on day 5 and 6.

If someone already had a paper certificate could they could use it anytime after day 5 ?"
Probably.
We were about to renew ours so they would still be valid when we return second week of March.
Looking at NHS site seems you are locked out for 14 days from PCR positive test.
Should mean we have just over 24 hours to get new certificates, complete Spanish locator forms and get QR.
If it all goes wrong will move flights to following week.
Fingers crossed. |

You can only do the Spanish forms to get your QR code within 48hrs of arrival anyway. They're dead easy, just make sure you have your passport details and address of your residence in Spain to hand. Make sure you know things like the autonomous community, province and postal code |

Yes, the Spanish locator form is 48 hours, always found them simple to complete as long as you have the address in Spain.
Just checked NHS app and it gets unlocked after 5 days of testing positive to access Covid pass.
Actually feeling a bit worse today, just knackered, sore ribs from coughing, no loss of taste or smell, constantly hungry and a sensation of very gritty eyes.
Will need this holiday... |

We are due to go in3weeks, to a well known lifestyle resort. Mexican gov website seems to imply no tests required at all for those triple jabbed. |
