It isn’t expected for Boris to announce any restrictions today but that means nothing . He could easily recall parliament tomorrow. NYE very much on a knife edge . You get the feeling he will recall parliament imminently and that would mean restrictions . No one knows |

Sensible, let’s hope it continues, we have to learn to live with this so let’s get on with it. Let everyone do their own risk analysis when they chose to go out, what they choose to do and with whom etc |

Glad about this and clubs will do test or vaccine passes and hopefully not be part of increasing contamination. We are going out and gonna make the most of that night. It’s going to be off the charts. |

Funny enough the covid rate in England per 100k is way higher than Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
So we shall see who got it right….

I think you also need to check that. Per head capita there are no substantial differences even with draconian lockdown measures.
If there had been any substantial evidence that lockdown with this variant then I'm pretty sure it would cause a lockdown.
The other countries are locking down because they can. Well Hogmanay is the Scots biggest day. Let's see what happens.
We've got to live with this as we can't keep hiding away from what appears no worse than a cold. Top symptoms on Omicron? A runny nose. Like nobody has ever had a runny nose in winter. |
