I just read an interesting article about a very small implant using the same technology that is used to pay contactlessly on your phone (NFC) can scan your implant to read your job history.
I don't really fancy having something implanted into me but it is interesting technology develop so quickly.
The article is in the daily mail so I think it's fine to link here if anybody is interested in reading it.

I think the technology side is very interesting. Its good to advance. Otherwise we'd the proverbial eternal troglodytes.
The only thing is though I'm not so sure about those running it. And the reasons why they want to be the ones running it.
And, with that in mind, that would be where my physical participation would end. |

i think if done right having a implant that has your complete medical history at a swipe would save so many lives imagine the paramedics having that info str8 away would be amazing ..but as long as its protected and not abused |

You can get them at most veterinary surgeries and currently compulsory for dogs, cats I believe is next year.
Great idea, a chip with your NHS number within. Think of the benefits, your medical records available if you have an accident and need paramedics by simply reading the chip.
Your address in case your found dead or lost suffering memory liss, you vaccination history. Sounds ideal to me.
No more wristbands to carry to alert emergency responders.

They don’t transmit. You scan the dog to see if it has a chip. Like contactless payment! They are useful if a dog is lost and taken to a vet who can track the chip. Not much use for dog theft. |

I'd also like to add that this is a very old article that was written pre-covid that the Daily Mail has repurposed because they know it will attract clicks given the current conspiracy theories going around.
A minority in Sweden are BY CHOICE getting RFID chips placed under their skin for access to their homes, work places, cars, etc.

Due to the size of them grain of rice they are passive tags they have no battery.
When the scanner is passed over then the electromagnetic energy is used by the chip to energise it and then the serial number is read to compare against the database. |

The rfid chips (including nfc) generally would just store an ID number (usually 14 characters long), it wouldn't contain any specific data. They are used to provide an identification, not hold your medical history.
They would allow a verified agent to access specific info based on your ID...

The chips in pets are passive not active.
Easiest way to explain is this …
You have a written diary / journal that contains all the information about you. It is a rather large(ish) book, usually about A5 size.
There is a system called microfiche, often seen in records offices. Everything is recorded on it at greatly reduced size, you need a special machine to read it.
The chip in a pet is even smaller, it has all the necessary information on it but it does not transmit, you need a special machine (chip reader) to access the information.
A transmittable chip would be something like the SIM card in your phone, think of the size of it, its not injectable unless the needle was the size of your finger. his chip needs a power source, thats the battery in your phone or think of the size of the battery when you need to change your car key battery, you would need a needle the size of a standard wine bottle top to get that injected into you.
There is a law to do with micro processors called “Moores Law” (look it up)
Moores Law is predicted to come to an end, maybe within the next 10 years as the physical limits are already at the boundary of where its possible to go smaller with current technology, small enough to provide a power source, transmitter and the information that could be injected into you. |

Because they CANNOT be tracked. I have two cats, a speedboat and a caravan ALL CHIPPED.
Every caravan made since the mid 90's has exactly the same chip hidden in an unspecified location within the skin.
The boat has two in the engine and another mixed in the resin of the fibreglass of the hull before it cured.
I have regularly had the boat Hull and engine 'swept' by what looks like an airport handheld metal detector by lake wardens, council employees and harbour masters at slipways who randomly check boats being launched for any being reported stolen.
I have seen police arrive at caravan sites in North Wales who 'sweep' outside of caravans to ensure that it us not stolen and that the VIN number matches the CRIS log, again to find stolen caravans. No two caravans have the chip installed in the same place to make removal difficult.
Although, I've never heard of it, I suspect by now cars have them hidden or if not, they should.
They work no more than 3 feet from the chip and therefore impossible to track other than a device you walk up to much like a shoplifting tag detector.
As for pets, Vets refuse to check pets against databases to ensure the owners are genuine and not stolen. Many pets stolen could be returned to their rightful owners if they did.
They cannot be used to track by any remote means and they do not store any data other than a string of characters the detector reads as its serial number. Any data linked to it is stored elsewhere.
To be honest, people should be more concerned with facial recognition and carrying a mobile phone. |

Ic the conservative continue there will be no nhs so private insurance in this case could use the info to have sky high premiums .r deny treatment . |
