It's not about anti-covid, or anti-vax. It is about freedom and liberty. Something I would have thought people in this lifestyle hold dear.

Education is important. The amount of ignorance out there in the general population really is astounding. Vaccine passports and mandatory vaccines are just the start. If they are not nipped in the bud, what comes next? Check out CBDCs and ID2020 for starters.

People jumping on the OP with shitty comments (as usual), without even knowing what the rally is for!

There was a pro-choice rally in Liverpool last week. Lots attended (Vaxxed and unvaxxed!), asking for freedom of choice regarding the vaccine. It was peaceful and not publicised at all (strangely!).

Because it’s been built next to a crematorium the obvious link (to him and his fellows wallys) was that it was going to be a Covid internment camp with handy access to the cream next door. One of the most common traits I see in people like yourself is the holier than thou, arrogant superiority that allows you to think that you are somehow more enlightened than everyone else.

Just because following some rules that are stipulated for the good of society fits in with your crazy narrative that your rights are being impinged, it doesn't mean that they are necessarily linked. Correlation doesn't mean causation. Enjoy your superspreader event and good luck with inevitable illness. Hopefully you won't take up a hospital bed that someone more worthy needs.

But they have then taken a bed from someone else, who may eventually die because of their actions.

I do wonder if an infected person would go out on a meet, and actually tell you they are infected if offered a bonk.?

Fair comment. I will put my hand up in admission. I was replying to another poster who asked why the marchers were doing it.

In reply to the OP, no, I won't be going as I am waiting to be called in to hospital as soon as possible and the current rapid spread of omicron is already threatening my chances of that happening.

I am not questioning their right to demonstrate but their timing and perceived urgency is ill thought out.

Right now, during the already thoughtless Christmas shopping and mingling season, is not a clever time for people to travel from other parts of the country to central London and then disperse again as possible newly acquired virus carriers.

There are plenty of other ways, with the availability of modern communications, of making one's views public. Save the travelling mingling and marching option for a less dangerous time.

We one has the choice to go get vaccinated or not and nobody is holding them down to vaccinate them.

Of course there will be an election but the changes to electoral rules requiring photo ID to vote and boundary changes will disenfranchise c.6million people (totally coincidentally from groups most likely to not vote conservative) meaning that this Govt are doing all they can to stack the deck in their favour.

I'm very much against lockdowns but I bet 80% of these protesters are non-vacced. What if we told you that we will reserve a certain amount of hospital beds for the non-vacced covid patients, as much as do not make the NHS overwhelmed, so other treatments don't need to wait. To those who mock, I guess a shag's out of the question lol. But seriously, stop making assumptions about me or anyone else. The only thing you know about me is that I probably support the message behind today's march. It's dangerous to make any assumptions about anything else.

It's sad to see so much polarisation about this issue. It really should be all of us together against the machine (the real villains in all this). But instead, they've got us pointing fingers at each other. They've successfully divided us.

Ask yourself why the politicians and civil servants didn't think it was a risk last year when they were having parties every night? What magic formula did they have that gave them protection against the virus that the rest of us didn't have?

Why does Boris tell us to wear masks on trains but didn't feel the need to wear one himself yesterday? What has he done that keeps him more protected than we are? Same with Peston. He's also more protected than the rest of us are, how?

If your main concern is NHS bed capacity, have you asked yourself why hospital bed capacity had halved in 30 years? And reduced by around 5,000 in the last 2 years? Where's the recruitment campaign to dramatically increase nurses and doctors? Are you sure this is a pandemic? If so, where's your anger at the mismanagement by NHS management?

If a protest is not aggressive or violent I see nothing wrong with it, no one actually wants restrictions but they have been enforced in most countries around the world I don't think they have been as affective as people think they have but that is my opinion and everyone should be entitled to an opinion but not shove it in other people's faces.

We do not "all have to get Covid". You do not "have to" get any disease for which there is a vaccine.

There was a pro-choice rally in Liverpool last week. Lots attended (Vaxxed and unvaxxed!), asking for freedom of choice regarding the vaccine. It was peaceful and not publicised at all (strangely!).
